Yes it may happen. Their remorse over the act can keep them from getting a proper body. Mostly these souls spend a lot of time healing themselves from the scars on earth plane before being born again.

Or spirit guides show you all this before you go to dharm-raj? Or after your judgment. sorry to know about your loss. Yes entities can cause suicide. But generally there are past life connections of those entities with the person. They were harmed in some way. Please take care of yourself and do your sadhana and bless your mother for her onward journey. She is taken care of. Please focus on your spiritual wellbeing. If you are not happy, your mother will also feel the pain. So be happy and do your sadhana.
