Love Lucas and hate what they are doing to his character. He's done so much for the community and isn't getting recognition.

Chris makes Lucas Bouchard a multi-faceted character that never ceases to surprise and amaze. I have really enjoyed getting to know his character and hope he will be a part of the WCTH cast as long as the show runs. I watch anything Chris is in and hope he and Julie will work together in more projects. Thanks to him for all the talent he shares with us. He is much appreciated.

Would probably start watching WCTH again if Lucas, found a loving, caring, woman who whole hearted truly loves Lucas, someone already on the show! DON'T MAKE LUCAS' PAST COME BACK TO MAKE HIM LOOK BAD (JEANNETTE) just so Elizabeth and Nathan, can look like a nice couple ! Hopefully he would STOP caring for Elizabeth!

@@Adelaide1946why is Nathan and Elizabeth a mistake. Lucas himself says that he knew Elizabeth’s heart belongs somewhere else. Would you want him to marry someone who is not 💯totally in love with him as opposed to how he totally 💯 loves her. He made the right choice. 💯percent or not at all. The show potrays real life scenarios. I would not want someone in my life who I love totally while they love someone else 💯percent. He made a wise decision.

Not watching the show but this interview peeked my interest in Lucas's character...not surprising that the writers would go the direction of making him shady just to validate nathan as the right guy....I'm afraid they did too good of a job bringing us a beautiful love story only to turn on a dime and say they need her with the mountie instead....I can't believe another romance after all the beautiful words Elizabeth's character said... and I'm certainly not watching them turn Lucas into some seedy character...I'm looking forward to seeing Chris McNally in other movies or shows...just not on WCTH...
Chris has a great focal length on either his phone or camera to record the video. Produced high level footage ❤ compared to his cast mates . Shows he took his time with this video.
I just don’t understand why the writers feel the need to sully Lucas’s character. They’re making it sound as if he has a criminal past. Interesting, since he’s now the Governor. SMH Listening to Chris’s voice is quite soothing and calmed me down a bit.
When he first came into town he was mysterious and kept a secret that almost got him and Elizabeth killed. He hired Henry's son to spy on Henry. He also got involved with Walden and was framed, could have gone to prison if not for Nathan's plea deal. He lied to the governor at the ball to get information on the water diversion. Not saying he's a bad guy at all, but he has always made decisions that put him in dicey positions.
I thought the same thing when Lucas showed up in hope valley...I thought he was shady but do thing he has changed alot! But do want to see Nathan and Elizabeth together they make more since! Never liked Lucas and Elizabeth together but that's the direction the show went and I finally excepted it but now I glad they decided to go back in Nathan and Elizabeth direction just makes more since to me...I think Elizabeth always loved Nathan but was afraid so she went with Lucas as a safer choice! I like Lucas just not with Elizabeth!!!
@@ellyc87 that was pretty much explained in the same season. He saved Jeanette who he said was a widow from loan sharks and got her money back and saved her from a fire. The money he got back from the loan sharks was hidden in the fish crates and the loan sharks was looking for him. He moved to HV cos he liked the sound of it and so on. If Elizabeth didn't go nosing her around she wouldn't of got caught by the men waiting for Lucas at HIS saloon after closing hours lol. Lucas went on the right path once he chose to do right and put whatever life he had behind him for the better esp when he came to HV

Please whatever you do….do not let Lucas become bad and leave, he has become a focal point in this show. Get Jeanette out if his life. I appreciate the cool in Lucas and maturity as a man that he is. He is smart Huh! Love WCTH. Edwin is a goof ball! Seems as if it’s all about him not the town. Lucas love s Hope Valley along with the other man characters! Love Lucas and Chris who plays him brilliantly. I liked Lucas and Elizabeth, last season was retconned sadly by new showrunner which is obvious. I feel for Lucas who has lost all and the heartbreak and being shot etc.

The writers haved changed Elizabeth...season 10 began the change....she has become insecure and afraid of change and anything that takes her away from living next door to Rosemary. It's sad that her insecurities are making her give up a man who dearly loves her and would go to great lengths to make her life happy. Sad that the writers chose to destroy that. We watched it develop for so many seasons. I am losing interest....except in Chris McNallys future projects!!
Love Lucas and his new role as Governor. I hope he stays true to his new self and doesn't trust Edwin completely (there's something suspicious about him).

It does seem to be a way to justify why he would not be the best fit for Elizabeth who realizes he left out certain parts of his past with her. I think it was a ploy for Lucas fans to be more accepting of Nathan/Elizabeth relationship.

Love Chris McNally, and especially as Lucas. I definitely love everything else he has played in. I hope he and Nathan become good friends. He can be friends with Elizabeth, but im no longer vested in any relationship between the two. But im looking forward to more Lucas time.
I love him so much. It’s sickens me what they’ve done to him. As far as I’m concerned he’s carried the show since season 6. They’ve completely changed him. Elizabeth too. I don’t care at all for her character now. I think this series needs to be canceled. It’s seen better days. I will always follow Chris McNally‘s career.

Chris shines in this interview. He is a humble gentleman and it shines through. Since Jack is no longer in the picture, I truly hope E&L get back together. I truly like WCTH and all the actors. Not just E&L.
I was a team Lucabeth fan & I was devastated when E broke up with Lucas but I can’t stand her now .I wouldn’t want them together now .Im just a Lucas fan now.They made her character so weak & flimsy …it’s just not E.

I wish Hallmark would hire actual historical hair and makeup experts as well as for their costumes. It looks like the director told everyone to go through their closets and bring in anything that could be remotely sort-of old looking.😳 And the modern hairdos and modern makeup makes us history lovers cringe.

@jacquelyncanada9785 💯 agree! If they were just going to put E with N anyway, then the end of S8 was totally unnecessary. Sure, it gave us S9 and beautiful, sweet moments between L, E and LJ. But if TPTB were just going to rip that all away from us, then what was the point 🤷🏾♀️ IMO, with the direction they've taken E's character, she in essence turned L & N into options for her disposal. I'll go with this guy but if I'm not feeling it anymore, there's always the other guy waiting for me. And I think that is wrong no matter which guy it is 💔 L could have been saving those kisses and I love you's for someone who loved him just as deeply 😔
Glad you agree. The reasoning behind the breakup is not right. I see you mentioned season 8. The last scene of season 8 was just beautiful. As I said in another post, WCTH could have ended in season 8 or 9. Especially the way this season is playing out. Just sad.

But then I found out they changed the direction of the show and ruined L&E's love story 💔so I haven't watched any of S11. Just been keeping up with Lucas through platforms like this one. Should I go ahead and watch the other seasons? 😞
Love Chris McNally. Half-watching the show. I’m over Elizabeth. Possibly the most boring person on the show. If you realize you are not in love with your fiancé and are in love with someone else, why play shy and coy? I suppose on the last episode he will come running to her on the bridge and gather her into his arms and they will kiss passionately. Oh. Wait. Never mind. 🙄

Miss Lucas & Elizabeth together! SO VERY SAD that the writers chose to break that relationship in such a calloused and abrupt way! The relationship with Nathan seems so immature and forced. The writers really messed up by changing the story! 😥

I love Lucas. Hope he gets hismemory back. But from what I understand is that he told his finace' that he was going to have to move to another town as a Govenor and Elizabeth said she never wanted to move from Hope Valley. And their relationship was on ice after that. But man he is such a handsome character and I really liked how nice he was before he got shot.
Lucas was a far better story line with Elizabeth, swinging back to Nathan after Elizabeth went to Jacks grave and explained her love for Lucas. What is the writers thinking?

Elizabeth definitely wants a relationship with Nathan. That is very obvious. Lucas being in Hope Valley makes Elizabeth and Nathan's development of their relationship a difficult one at this time. Lucas cares for Elizabeth and vice versa, but they aren't in love. Nathan and Elizabeth are each other's end game.
