1:29:14 This is such a one-dimensional view of abuse. A teenaged boy might be more excited about the prospect of sex, but he’s still intellectually unprepared for it. If the adult woman abusing him gives him an STI or STD, if she gets pregnant, etc., he’ll feel differently. He might not feel victimized by the _act_ but he would definitely feel victimized by those things. 17 year old boys shouldn’t be fathers and it’s grotesque for an adult woman to do that to him.

@@jackhazardous4008 Sort of? I have heard of cases in California, Kansas, and Arizona where an underaged boy was molested by a woman, impregnated them, and was later liable for child support. Part of the problem in the Arizona case was that they were demanding child support for periods of time where the father was a child himself - ie. he couldn’t have had an adult’s full-time job. The reason I say “sort of” is because I remember these women being family friends or babysitters, not school teachers. You may be conflating these stories with cases like that of Mary Kay Letourneau.
A big factor in these cases is that the boy is victimized, doesn’t really think about it, and then discovers he has a kid at, like, 23. By that point, it’s far past the statute of limitations and there’s rarely any sort of documentation available. If these boys had an adult to tell them this was wrong, they probably would have had better luck. But, you know, it isn’t usually boys from good families who find themselves in these situations.
Honestly, I feel that if the arithmetic doesn’t add up, that’s grounds for the woman losing custody. A woman who rawdogs a teenaged boy is clearly insane. Of course, that creates difficult issues like who should get custody if the boy and his family aren’t capable. It’s a nightmare scenario and something that the “niiiiiceeee” crowd never consider.

If we actually follow these peoples mindsets of "if the kid has a romantic/sexual interest it isnt abuse" then the age of consent laws would be lowered to around 13 for both genders.
