So Beautiful, and such a reminder. My Photos from 2012 pale in comparison. Thank You for this vivid remembrance. As you approach the Col, into Switzerland, you STILL see the Glacial Striations in the bedrock - a Glacier that FILLED this valley, just 18,000 yrs ago !
Hi Mate, Neil from Uk here. Absolutely loving the series. I like the weekly releases, look forward each week for next update. I am one of four 60plus guys who are doing TMB in July this year. I love the “Jen humour “ and the say it as it is info, much more useful than the “glossy mag” renditions everyone else posts. We are on a similar schedule, 10day tour, but we have the luxury of baggage transfers! Looking forward to next week’s episode. Well done mate, keep em coming!👍👍
Hey Neil! Thanks a ton for checking out the vids. Your group is going to have a freaking blast. Yeah - we watched a ton of videos before our trip and I always felt like I was getting a glossed-over version of what it's like. The baggage transfer will be nice, although I never had any complains about my pack. We did a decent job of keeping it small (surprisingly). If you're able to take that day off in Courmayeur - that was a great break at the perfect time... Enjoy the hike!
Another really beautiful video !!!!!, and thanks for sharing the good and bad moments. We did it last year beginning of July, Clockwise. The day of Grand Col Ferret was the toughest but the view was the best of the whole TBM in my opinion.
Hilarious commentary, incredible scenery....I am so enjoying your hike from the comfort of my home. Having said that, I am totally going to walk the TMB. Thank you x "The only thing she can do to mess this up is to go fast"...hahahha
That looks more death-defying than I was thinking. That cliff side looked steep and the walk did not look flat. Was it as scary as it looked? Was this a variant? (Going back to prior hotels/busing, is a new move and a game changer!) Mr G, you are very entertaining!
It was just a tad scary - really not all that bad. Definitely wasn't flat! It's funny - I remember being like, "This is so sketchy!" and then seeing a 70-year-old whiz by me without a care in the world which changes your thought to "I'm such a wimp!"
When I was in Italy, I was metaphorically spanked by a barista for ordering a cappuccino after 11 A.M. Thanks again for the spettacolare vicarious hike. Great to hear about your shoulder's improvement.
I can't tell if you thought getting spanked by a barista was a good or a bad thing - ha! Yeah, we couldn't help but order as many cappuccinos as possible no matter the time of day. It's like that carrot you tie to a stick to keep the mule moving... a little treat up ahead is a great motivator!
You guys are awesome; cool content with a fun touch, sincere and concrete advices; I hope you had a nice trip. I’ll probably hit TBM also once I’m 50-ish, I just got into trekking this year (47). Can’t wait to see episode 7… in the meantime, I got this stuck in my head… thanks a man 🥴 ua-cam.com/video/989-7xsRLR4/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared

We have 2 nights in Courmayeur, which restaurants did you recommend, I think you mentioned a pizza place?
@@neilfarrimond8910 Tunnel Pizza is the bomb. We went there twice. Also Ristorante Pizzaria Du Parc.
Love this! My husband and I are considering it at 50-something, best of luck to you and the boys!
Cheers!
Props to Jen, she’s doing her best and crushing it.
Agree! She kicked butt...
That section at about 8:34… woo, talk about Death by View.
Too close to the edge for me, but oh my God it's glorious

I thought that maybe the views would become boring after awhile. I was wrong!

If you're enjoying it from home - you are going to love it in person! Thanks a bunch for watching!!!

Well, a metaphorical spanking is like a vicarious hike, or motorcycle ride on video . . . kind of fun, but not exceedingly satisfying.

Thanks for watching! Check the description for Happy Tracks info....
