Hello Matej Dudik, The safe detection of a person from hazardous areas or points by working with machines is always a matter of the overall risk assessment and safety concept. Therefore many application details need to be considered & this may differ from application to application. In the mentioned example, “a fainted/lying person on the conveyor belt” and the use of the C4000 Palletizer, it’s also a matter of what function is programmed/used. For instance, with a programmed pallet detection mode, the person would be safely detected and the machine stopped, because the maximum valid object size/length is only 240 mm. All the prerequisites & conditions, which need to be considered are mentioned in the corresponding operating instruction. In case other functions of the C4000 Palletizer are used (e.g. goods detection/object entry monitoring) other prerequisites & conditions need to be considered and measurements taken in the overall safety concept, so that a lying person would be safely detected. Please reach out to your local SICK organization/contact to clarify the details of your case and application.
