You should build a ladder mounted to rollers (barn door type slide) for the overhead space , so that you can roll it side to side out of the way and you don’t have to set up the metal ladder in the house
The duct work has to flow upwards lower pipe goes into the upper at the top elbow you have the riser pipe going over the elbow which will let fumes out into the garage. Love your channel
Well done, it turned out great and looks very good. 3 years ago I built a 1500 sq ft shop with 12' to plates and 16.5' peak on gable roof and insulated overhead doors. I put in (2) 2 ton mini splits on opposite walls, centrally located, and they handle the heating and cooling in the shop very efficiently and economically. We are in the Central Valley of Ca and the weather is pretty significant both hot and cold during the year. Good luck on the final, it shold be a piece of cake for you. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Another job finished, Yeeaahh!!. When you buy a heater make sure its Solar powered. Great music choices ,was that Keith Urban singing Country Girl?. Amazing how paint makes a room so clean and tidy. Love how Charlie joins in the dancing. Thanks for the video Love from a Cold UK @12 after 4 in the afternoon x x x
i am guessing the water heater vent pipe will still fail inspection. through the wall clearance, type b pipe and improper vent hood outside. please let us know the outcome. thanks.......g
I think you all did a great job. The stuff folks are sharing with are nits. If the inspector gives you a hit, just fix it. You have lea4ned so much. Have a great Holiday season.
It's great that you finished the garage, another great video. Um Nick, I thought you said you were not joining the dance party, Lol, enjoyed the dance party though.
You need to trim that copper on the plug. The insulation should go to almost the terminal. It looked like almost an inch of exposed copper on the hot side. If that touches the box you have a fire hazard at worse, a short at best.
I'm an HVAC owner and your water heater needs to be vented with classB chimney pipe through the wall and 24ga pipe from the WH to the outside. All crimped ends point to the outside.
You need to insulate your water heater MUCH better it will run continuously so close to the garage doors that's how they set up water heaters in Florida not Idaho
We had house wrap on over the garage does last winter and it did Great. Know we have doors with weather seals and drywall. I think we’re going to be good.
Be sure to check with Wild Fire Lifts out of Minnesota.... they have done some pretty sweet deals with content creators. I'm a little bummed you didn't go with those hexagonal lights like what Rust Bucket Restos installed.... now THOSE are cool!! - but the ones you installed are easily moveable since they plug in and hang from a simple hook. I bet you'll end up putting a few of them on some sort of retractable mount before too long so you can pull them down or closer to your working area.
Try Mr. Heater. Great for heating vent free. Mr. Heater 30,000 BTU Vent Free Blue Flame Natural Gas Heater. Price Shop it! approx $200.00. I got mine from WalMart!
That pressure relief valve on the hot water heater should at least be hard piped down closer to the floor. Even better piped outside. Right now when that valve lets go someone is got to get a face full of hot water. I would hope the inspector fails you for it.
AUSSIE GRAHAM AGAIN MATE IF YOU ARE NOT SURE ABOUT PUTTING AN ARWING OVER THE VERANDER THEN LOOK UP A VLOG CALLED TRENT AND ALLIE THEY HAVE JUST PUT ONE UP AND IF YOU LIKE EATING SHOW YOUR WIFE THIS MESSAGE TO HER AS SHE WILL BE THE ONE WHO HAS TO CLEAN THE SNOW OUT EVERY TIME SOMEONE OPENS THE DOOR AND SHE MAY EVEN GIVE YOU A KISS IN THANKS FOR THE WORK YOU SAVED HER FROM HAVING TO DO
CAN I MAKE A SEGENTON WHY NOT PUT A ROOF OVER THE VARENDER THIS WILL STOP THE SNOW AND RAIN FROM PILING UP THERE AND WHEN YOU OPEN THE DOOR THE SNOW WILL NOT COME INSIDE THE HOUSE AUSSIE GRAHAM
Your vent pipe is still wrong your top elbow is backward your pipe should feed inside so your long pipe needs to be crimped to feed inside of your top elbow, and then the crimp side of your elbow feeds into your outside pipe.. so actually, you are still not code compliant…🇺🇸👊🏼👊🏼✌🏼

Get a ventless heater and put it in there. Possibly two if one isn't enough.
Awesome job Nick those lights are bright as hell lol!! Keep up the hard work 💪🏻
Get yourself a LB White 80 for the heat. Burns clean and will heat that space in a jiffy. You’ll love it. Very low power draw for circulation

Get a wood heater like upstairs
Another great job accomplished!! You two amaze me. You have done a fantastic job with your off grid development!!
Wow your garage and everything really looks good. Nice work. 👍❤️
Hey guys, like always I enjoy your videos😊
Looks good yall nice job
Good morning. Don’t think a dryer vent will work for a water heater. Check before inspection
Yes, kinda think it needs to be metal.
You need double wal vent with thimble going through wal. can't have louver damper on vent. Single wall next to combustibles is fire hazard
Here is a tip to you and others. No need to sweep ! use your leaf blower it works every time in less time.
Get you a forced air diesel torpedo heater 145,000 btu with thermostat

Looks marvelous. Looking forward to sone great Barn/garage parties. Great space. I agree with the guy about building a couple of tiny houses.

A great space has been created... gorgeous, greetings from Germany :)🌍
Why oh why didn’t you insulate the garage???
If you put 2x6 or 4x4 blocking behind the water heater you will be able to tighten the straps against the wall
They should have gone with a tank less water heater .
I bit the bullet approximately 10yrs ago and got one and I have not regretted it one bit.
Question: is a under eave soffit not required on your inspection?
If you have the room and don't require endless flow a tank water heater is just as good, less expensive and most of the time cheaper in the long run.
@Brian-rj5rl i absolutely love the endless flow of hot water to my shower....and the wife not being mad for emptying the hot water tank.
Happy Thanksgiving! Wowza. Thats some bright lights!

What are those shop lights? The look interesting
Looks good..😊❤️🇨🇦
Just install a double head heat pump thats what I use in my gradge
Good morning look like everything is coming together have a great day and have a great Thanksgiving Day
Okay, why do you need to build a big house??? Im not seeing it . Build 2 tiny houses for your kids.❤❤❤ your apartment is gorgeous.😊😊

Waste of energy heating garage without insulation, big mistake not doing whilst building. You can use garage as a fridge in winter...

You're wasting your money on putting any kind of good heater in there you didn't insulate it you never going to get that garage warm
Sorry but I definitely do not agree. Having a heater in there while we’re working on anything or just hanging out is perfect.
Looks good yall nice job
