Ik I didn’t want to spoil the FNAF movie and I kinda spoiled Scream, but FNAF just came out, Scream has been out for 28 years!!!
Kurt Russell played Ego in Guardians of The Galaxy (bad guy) and Santa Claus in The Christmas Chronicles (good guy) He's a perfect example of an actor who is so good at what he does that he can seem completely evil in one movie and completely good in another
It’s also interesting how nice actors always play as villains in movies. A good example is Alan Rickman who plays a villain in Harry Potter but is a nice dude in real life.
@@lukelyall5879 - It’s not so much who he was playing that I was referring to, more so just the complete polar opposite tone of the two movies in question.
You know an actor is legit good when they can do differing roles like this and you actually buy into the character without thinking of their other roles. A lot of famous actors are really just people with strong enough personalities that people enjoy watching them ... but every role is just "them" in various scenarios. Like Will Smith back in his prime, even though people liked him every movie was just "what if Will Smith was in this situation".
the perfect example of this is scott adsit. he voices Clay Puppington (an alcoholic and depressed child abuser of a dad from moral orel) and yet he also voices Baymax (a healthcare robot that is the main character’s cutesy companion from big hero six)
I just recently finished Hilda, a cartoon about a girl and her mom and pet who lives in a world where humans coexist with mythical creatures. It's pretty sweet and fun. After I watched the last eps, I looked up the IMDb and I noticed that Hilda was played by the girl who played Ellie in The Last of Us show. Seeing that blew my mind. Her voice in Hilda was so different than in TLOU. In Hilda, she sounded really British and sweet. But in TLOU, you (or at least I) can't hear the British accent and she's like Ellie in the game, which is saying "fck you" every time she gets the chance to say it. And no, it's not because of age. The show got its final season in December last year, the same year as TLOU. She's just really good at it
@@nerdyworld938 right? The fact that she's able to be 2 different characters without us realizing it because we're so immersed with her work is insane. Oh and I did some more research and apparently she's also played a character in Game of Thrones and the 2023 Chicken Run movie

Ellen Greene is an actress most well-known nowadays for her role in Little Shop of Horrors as Audrey, the one good person in the EXTREMELY morally grey story, even willing to have her body fed to a man eating plant if it meant that the man she loved got to live a good life. However, she was also in a stageplay called The Threepenny Opera, where she played the daughter of the "Beggar's Friend," a cruel man who has other beggars beat up any beggars who don't get a license from him that involves giving him a cut of the profits. Her character falls in love with the brutal serial killer Macheath, aka Mack the Knife (the song is originally from this), because she doesn't want to date a good man, and she ends up running his whole evil organization. At their wedding, she also sings revenge ballad Pirate Jenny (also originally from this) as something she heard while walking around Soho. When I realized it was her, my first reaction was "Man, I didn't know she had that kind of range!"
i love it when actors are so versatile, they truly inspire me and i love hearing them talk about their inspirations on how they played their characters and what they used for reference. super cool, reminds me a lot of oscar isaac my favorite actor and willem dafoe
This is the way I am when it comes to acting. I like to create and act in gritty stories but I also act for student films at my university that touch a less intense and a more child friendly script. Multiple times I get told to lower my intensity and everybody else in the cast thinks I’m gonna shoot somebody or rob a store, honestly I find it hilarious 😂😂😂
And then you get those types of actors who play characters that are completely the opposite of their real-life personality. Like Keanu Reeves who's a super nice guy in real life, but he always plays this crazy fighting type of character.
As much as I like the 2013 adaptation of The Great Gatsby, I had a hard time taking it seriously because the main character, the depressed alcoholic mental institution patient known as Nick Carraway is played by Tobey Maguire and no matter how hard I try, I can't see Tobey Maguire as anything besides the dancing Bully Maguire from Spiderman 3.
