Thank you for breaking this down and explaining your technique of complicated E-MU MIDI controller settings and the connection to the Keystep as, one wrong setting on the E-MU and your not hearing any sound ugh. Nice that someone has finally gone out of they're way to make Command Station videos as they're not that easy to learn and take awhile to wrap your head around. Most appreciated and thanks again! E-MU made a VHS tutorial for the "Morpheus" (showing-off it's Z-plane filter) back in the day (before the Creative buy out) why not the Command Station or E-MU E4XT Ultra as they were E-MU's flagship products??? My feeling has alway been if E-MU would have released a worthy begineer, intermediate and advance VHS tutorial of these boxes back in the day 24 years ago on the E-MU EX4T Ultra & the E-MU Command Station that they included free during point of purchase they would still be around today as the learning curve on both machine is not only steep but deep and frustrates the hell out of some people. How could E-MU ever expect a poor music store employee (even one who knew synthesizers) to know their way around either one of these two devices and to do a proper demo selling them as that's not feasible or realistic as the manual is 378 pages long shortcuts? Any possibility of doing a tutorial with the new Balma "Shock Treatment" ROM and the "presets" which I am assuming you own?
Thank you for sharing your thoughts, much appreciated 😊 I agree that tutorials and examples of preset programming would have been *very* helpful ! Balma’s posts in the Command Station thread on Gearspace are a great resource, which I often refer to. Yes, I do intend to attempt a video on some of the Shock treatment ROM presets, aiming for this weekend - as long as I’m able to commit enough time to exploring the ROM over the next few days 👍
