Dominican Republic, 1537-40.
We, the black survivors of the immigrants who "worked" in cane fields in the Island of Kis'kei'-JaH, "Dominican Republic" relate soooooooo much to this which more than a video feels like a historically-fit mini documentary.
The video reveals the similarities of every branch of colonialism and just like Pressure Bus' on this footage, we too had a liberator called Lemba; Igbo-Congolese who not only escaped but also returned to liberate others under the oppression of Spanish Colonialism.
Lemba organized us into communities called "palenkes'" who would also raid near-by plantations to liberate brothers and sistas'.
They would also join Lemba's army, They would teach all possible African dialects to one another and how to defend themselves in case of being busted by patrolling Spaniard overseers.
For them....
