Not a saddle made that is truly comfortable for a horse. All saddle tree bars have a convex surface of varying degrees that lay on top of the horses back, and as you know is also convex. The same thing as putting a ball on top of a ball. My question is why are tree bars made like that?
Actually, not all backs of horses are convex. I have several who are very flat backed. I own the predecessor to the saddle that Doug is showing. It is very comfortable and fits very nicely on the backs of some of my horses. For other flat backed horses, I use a different brand.
