    This can be purchased with a 3.7v 3000mAh internal battery (which I chose not to do)

      What firmware did yours come with??
      Picked one up with battery from BG and arrived here januar 2020 and do have some issues and seems to be down to FW.. not least lack of adjustments and cropping that are not active..

      but on mine, you don't have fx digital zoom it simply wont work in ,liveview like it should, and some of the exposure settings are also not active and when casting the stream to a computer screen thrue USB it is extremely dark, close to unuseable..
      It looks like there are these newer batches with inbuild battery from Mustool with this limited and semi defect v1.0 2019-20-9 firmware.

    A few years ago I got one that works with a laptop. As others have said, there is some lag, which is not a dealbreaker in itself. Eventually I got a binocular microscope that is so much better for live viewing, soldering etc. But for posting results as a still shot or video, you slide back to monocular viewing anyway. Yours looks great!

    • @theGADGETSplaylist
      @theGADGETSplaylist  5 років тому

      +spelunkered - I have not noticed any lag, Dave.
      Of course, a binocular scope is a step up. Does it focus high enough above work for soldering...am curious?

    I got mine on the 24th as well.
    I took it apart to see the size of the battery because it seemed to drain quick. I drained and recharged the battery on a rc battery charger to find out how many mA the battery could hold. It is a 1 cell lipo and mine has a 2200 mA capacity when fully charged.
    What program are you using to view on your computer? I am trying "Debut Video Capture Software" the free version.

    • @theGADGETSplaylist
      @theGADGETSplaylist  5 років тому

      +Imt200 - I didn't get a battery with mine. One can be added but I won't bother. The biggest drawback is having to reset the settings if powered down.
      In the video, I simply used the .MOV file from the microSD card and imported that in my editing software (CAMTASIA).
      If microscope is connected to the laptop, no extra software is required as the Windows camera app does the job.

    Did you get it with the battery. If yes can you use it with the power supply?

    • @theGADGETSplaylist
      @theGADGETSplaylist  5 років тому

      +Samson S - no, I did not get the battery.
      It works off a 5v power supply. The main inconvenience is the settings are cleared each time it's powered OFF.
      But, as with all equipment when I make a video, I would double check those settings anyways (I've learned!). I'm OK without.
      A battery can be added later but the description is vague so if you want the battery model it is best to order one with it.

    What you don't realise is that it has a 12 Mp sensor.......that is important when you save an image to an SD card and then blow it up on your computer with whatever program you have for viewing JPEG files...........any of the cheaper microscopes with only 2 Mp sensors will pixilate when you try to blow the image up from an SD card on the PC screen.
    With the in built 7 " screen you can get by with lot less pixels as the screen is so small.
    So, you "could" really get a huge magnification with this microscope mainly due to the big sensor pixel count but mainly on a bigger PC screen from an SD card JPEG file.

    somehow strange that your great diy videos get less attention than this microscope from China.
    I simply watch now more or less each video after another to not miss an important one.

    • @theGADGETSplaylist
      @theGADGETSplaylist  2 роки тому

      the product review videos are so much easier than the DIY builds to make and as you point out get more views...
      it stands to reason in a way...more people would be interested in this microscope for example that there are people into DIY builds targeted at a very small segment of the population...

      Aliexpress doesn't take the money like that like your describe by taking your money and not paying the seller....they are only a connection site.
      Who told you that the seller' that it is Aliexpress that has your money??
      I really hope that is not the case and you took that for loyal, otherwise, you are making a market for even more scammers.
      what did you purchase and how did you purchase it if you are not familiar with your order / account-tools.??
      IF your purchase something you will have some tools under your order if you have issues..
      The seller has some time to ship your item, and if they don't you will get an auto refund, but often will some sellers scam with fake tracking numbers and literally speculate in these few weeks that the buyer can dispute the item for not arriving. (that is the biggest con when using Aliexpress, as in a very narrow dispute / protection-window, where you on fx Paypal transaction, do have way longer dispute-period.)
