- Im not sure if original tempo of this piece was fast. There are a lot of videos on youtube where you can hear very fast performances, this is much slower one( I like to listen every note in this piece as a speaking- melody line).
Playing: Mark Kudriashov
Instrument: Clavichord(unfretted) inspirated by Silbermann 1775, built in 2016-17 by Krzysztof Strzelecki and Mark Kudriashov
Sounds so much better on the clavichord. I like this tempo too. Those other people are going too fast and muddying the melody...
Thank you🐈
Bravo ! Vous avez raison de jouer JS Bach lentement.
Beautiful!
Thank you
Very nice playing and wonderful sounding instrument.
Thank you!
@@marekkudriaszow3943 especially since this piece is an old favorite of mine to play
Thanks awesome❤❤❤
Thank you!
Would love to know some more about this clavichord!
Me and my friend built this clavichord on the begginning of this year, using technical drawings of Silbermann clavichord as an inspiration. I made bass strings a little bit different than you can usually see in the majority of clavichords(they are close- winded). For this instrument we made also wooden rosette with natural pearls(original Silbermann has paper one).
Thanks for a comment:)
HIER ist ein Stümper am Werk. Grauenhaft vorgetragen !!!

Good playing. Suddenly it's the eighties and I'm watching that Apple IIc commercial again.
Or whichever apple it was. Maybe it was the Mac.
I think it was actually for the Commodore 64.
これがクラビコードか! 初めて見た
That tempo makes good sense. I’m curious about the instrument. there seems to be an exceptional amount of yellow damping felt, and it also appears that the keys have some unusual design, squaring off in the last inch before the tangent. is there a reason that they are not completely square the whole way back?
Its just for design, we thought that it will look better
It’s certainly beautiful, with a nice complex sound to match.
@@fludeball thanks🙂🙂
It is called a harpsichord, a very long period ago there is no piano so people play the harpsichord. Bach played this kind of harpsichord/piano
The harpsichord is plucking the string so it nether can play legato nor staccato……..edit……….it sounds like some thing in between legato and staccato. The sound may be different (in my opinion , always different)
Настроить бы😵💫
Very original. I know the piano but not the clavichord, original instrument of this composition. If you want, you can listen my (last) version on my channel and give me your opinion. Thank you. Mathys

Master the instrument
is it out of tune, or is that just how the bass notes sound?
It is called a harpsicord, nothing is wrong with the piano, this is the kind of piano/harpsichord Bach plays in his time
@@fredericchopin3092 it literally says Clavichord in the video title. Catch a clue.
And yes, to my ear this Clavichord needs some tuning. Some of the notes did not match across octaves, and that is simply wrong and has nothing to do with the chosen temperament or instrument design.
@@fredericchopin3092 it's a Clavichord. Entirely different thing.
