Wow you guys are the only ones even thinking of reporting on this. Hell, you are the only ones reporting anything that’s half interesting and important at all lately! Thank you for that
I would agree except it seems The Free Press reports mostly on things like this. I like the piece but if the majority of their reports are on leftwing lunacy then you are clearly not interested in either fair reporting or basic journalism. You just want clicks.
@@astronomianova1could that be because the market is saturated with outlets willing to, hell eager to, report on right wing lunacy? Most people would never know about leftist lunacy if a handful of outlets like Jeff Greenwald and Daily Wire and Washington Examiner weren’t focusing on it?
Education vs. Activism ... This really has to stop. Children are vastly undereducated today than they were 40 years ago and the students that are affected most are the black children.
How about having these Nice-Nice teachers force disinterested students to do their homework! Now that would be radical. Nobody truly focusing in on where problems may lie.
I'm white, and I never noticed any difference with how well I learned from black, asian, hispanic or white teachers. I dont think there is a difference.
Listening to these two white progressives whine about the logical results of their activism, their values, their voting choices, reeks of REGRET and embarrassment. The democrat party is lost, a party I voted for since eligible. RED ALL the way!!
I'm sure you would get trashed by the woke mob depending on how you word it but as a black person I actually have no problem with a white person "wanting" white students to be taught by white teachers. The question is what is the plan to achieve it and does that take opportunities away from other teachers or children unfairly? Same with the guy in this article. If he "wants" black teachers to teach black students then that's fine but what is he "doing"? Based on what I've read of his non profit he simply works to train more black people as teachers. Seems like what he is "doing" is perfectly fine to me. Just what was supposedly "said" on a website has people's feelings hurt. Black students are 15 percent of public schools. Black teachers are 6 percent of all teachers. If white teachers were an underrepresented minority in teaching positions then it would not only be fine but a good idea for you to start a non profit because you want white students to have white teachers. So long as you are not promoting stereotypes against non-white teachers, depriving them of jobs unfairly, or depriving non-white students of a quality education. Also, I looked at the website and I don't see that quote or a picture of it anywhere but maybe the website has been changed since this video was made.
Segregation within one society is bad - I thought that was settled seven decades ago. Black nationalism seems fine, if other groups can get their ‘own’ country also.

I still wonder: in the USA, between Jim crow and misc affirmative actions and reparations and stuff... had citizens enjoyed _30 minutes_ without racial laws? 😶
I would just add a few anecdotes from things I remember reading some years ago. Fredrick Douglas was a prolific writer and speaker and probably the most famous person of his time. He was hugely inspirational and a member of the Republican Party. I don't remember what office he eventually held in the government, but I do remember reading that he served there with his children as well. I remember that he was very much in favor of equal rights rather than any kind of reparations or reverse racial favoritism. I remember reading that after this, though, there was a whole new generation of advocates that had exactly the opposite view. If I were looking for when the tide turned, I would look at the political battles between Fredrick Douglas, his family, and his close associates versus the next generation. Maybe Douglas did defeat them - I never looked into it any deeper. However, affirmative action didn't actually happen until the 1960s.
@@whistlingwind5900 I've just read something about him, very interesting. I didn't know that the democratic party was the pro segregation party either. In the meantime I've checked: it seems that the US _always_ have had some racial discrimination law, because the 64 law wasn't completely abolishing "classic" discrimination and the'65 completed it but already introduced positive discrimination , at least as a generic line of conduct to enforce.
Great video. Thanks for sharing. That is awful that this fellow is getting taxpayer money and money from various well known foundations. I hope there is further investigation in how he is really using the money. To push such activism is not good and will hurt society in the long run.
Black Americans need to stop debating with people who dont give a dang about your community or past trauma....our job is to build generational wealth and strong , healthy families, not educate non black Americans about ethics. we need to go where are theater best and our kids can thrive....and that ain't here in the USA!
What is he proposing exactly? Thier statements strike me as vague. First off its never going to happen because of the overall lack of African American teachers especially male. Has to be more to this story. However as a private enterprise, that's not taking public funds he can do whatever a particular parent is willing to sign off on. At the end of the day if an African American parent of a school age child wants to send thier child to said school it's thier choice only.

The DEI financial handouts are insane.

The “The US was never great!” crowd wants to drag us BACK to a time when we were arguably still coming out of our worst! 🤦🏻♀️
Yep, obsessing about race over everything else certainly has eliminated racism.
Give him what he wants and he’ll cry redline
James Lindsay has written about this topic of injecting ideology into the school system under DEI training.
Really frightening...stuff here. Does anyone think that he will NOT succeed in getting his way? and all that $$$$ ?!?
I wish they would get a state or two to become their own country. Would really help reduce the violent crime rate in most cities
Liberia is good

Unbelievable.
I wonder what kind of salary that guy gives himself.
While everyone is fleeing a country at war this guys family decided to move there? Something doesn't click for me with that.
Oh something clicked for me all right
You can not make this stuff up.
You can have the best educational system ever created but if a person is not interested in learning what good is it?

Am I allowed to advocate for White students to be taught by only White teachers? With only White classmates?

I'm for it- at this point it's probably best to separate. I'm so sick of my race (white) constantly being torn down and disparaged
That’s terrifying lmao

Went to mostly all black school and Philadelphia many black teachers, black kids either wanna learn or they don’t and most of them don’t
Honestly if they really just wanted their own country that would be fine, but this guys not even a real nationalist in that way.
They want a revolution

No. We’ve NEVER been race neutral. And people actively lobby against race neutrality.
