The good thing about the rainy season is that the water table gets replenished😊

  • @LeeHanHart

As this point, you have exactly what thrives during monsoon or rainy season. The avocado trees, plant just before the season in raised garden beds so you don’t loose them. They will have time to grow and be ready for that dry ground and thrive. With the right hands, rice would be nice to grow too. I suggest you have a separate set of workers specifically for the rainy season to manicure the farm. Essentially, a clean up crew that understands they are there to keep the place up to par. Building a simple design guard house is best for the workers, you and bag. A 12x20 is enough room .

Yes, the road needs gravel, not clay. Gravel has stones which makes water roll over, clay just holds the water. Otherwise, the greenery looks good at the Bag. As long as you have water, something will grow. Looks good, Bag Family!

Beautiful Greenery, Strong Palms please Put up A worker Shelter with some protected solar panels and batteries for power and a garden shelter that allows air to pass through with clear rooftops to utilize the sunlight . Also consider water towers to capture and filter the rainwater for efficiency.

      That's too much upkeep.
Sometimes rain is too heavy to try and accommodate them. That's a tremendous responsibility.
The best answer is what they've been doing.....if rain, don't come.
If they choose to quit, it's their loss.

BAG. Please, can you consider going into fish farming. You can create a man-made lake towards the sloppy side of the land to collect the excess water from the land and farm in the lake. This way your land would not be too water-logged during the raining season.

It look like you guys have the wrong type of dirt for the road you have Clay and clay iabsorbs water when it rains but it hardens during the summer time. It look like you guys need to invest in some powerful weed eaters that will help keep some of the weeds down and you will need less people to control the weeds.

There's nothing wrong with the road, just needs crowning with drainage ditch on each side. Prime example is in your video at 1:06 SJM is walking on the highest point on the (CROWN) road, ditches should have been cut on the edge of low sides when the fellow with the motor grader was spreading the clay. Water drains off quicker for drying out.

I regret to say that the Gambians may have acted unscrupulously in selling you a swampy plot of land, which they knew was unsuitable for development. They should have offered a more viable option, such as dry land, to support your progress. In contrast, I have acquired 6 acres in Liberia, which is dry land. You guys are suffering too much and I feel your pain. The only thing suitable for that land is rice, palm trees, coconut, pineapple, etc.
