yes!!! and in her live show, all this is expressed! Have you seen her live on stage??? it's so amazing!!! I saw it first time over two weeks ago and I am still blown away by it!!! Like the way she does "Uninvited" live, she does this intense headbanging dance with flashing lights....you have to see it in real life....and she takes pauses in between songs and talks about her life and her thoughts just like in this video! So amazing in every way. I been listening to her since 1996 and I love it!! Have all her albums :)
trixie, I know! I know what you mean! She's so amazing!!! I have been listening since 1996, my senior year of high school, I have all her albums, went to one of her shows for the 1st time on 2 october 2021, I few to Vegas from San Francisco....she totally blew me away!!! It was everything I thought it would be and more!!! Now I want to go see Jagged Little Pill the broadway play, on the island of Manhattan in the City of New York! Six hour flight and would be my first time in NYC but I want to check out that play, I hear it is amazing :)
She's so intellectual and also soft spoken! Almost shockingly soft spoken for someone with an album like jagged little pill. I love her! I wish she would play more gigs on weekends so I could see her!
I was 15 years old when I heard this amazing, deep, emotional voice come blaring out of the radio singing "You oughta know" . It floored me because I had never heard that range of emotion out of any artist, and I had grew up with Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey . She is still by far one of the best artist to come out of the 90s
Alanis, you rock! I really enjoyed watching this interview, listening to your looking back on your thought processes at that time. I heard "You Oughta Know" when it played on the radio in '95...the censored version *rolls eyes* and then "Hand in my Pocket" I loved them then and I love them still! Big hugs for you and your family!
damn straight isn't so so beautiful??? in her concert that I went to a few weeks ago I was like 20 feet away from her and wow she is still beautiful in every way :)
I listen to her album weekly when I get tired driving till 2am. Every penny sent streaming is helpful and she deserves the life she has built. Her skill at peak was absurd. I play music and sing guitar and write songs, it's funny how the music you play changes over time. Beautiful woman too. Strong. Like my badass wife.
Here for constructive Angry Anergy🔥🙏Alanis is just a little ooooo ....ICONIC !?? I could listen to her voice singing or speaking forever She awakens me
I am just pointing this out to GrammyPro ... I really like Alanis AND Tori ... it is just, Tori didn't get the recognition by the power players of the industry.
I love Alanis but they way she expresses herself is a little annoying. She sounds like she just practiced a couple of SAT words before the interview and spews them them all out in one sentence. It just sounds a little rehearsed and unnatural. I don't think it's eloquence. It's singularily despondent and uncontrived and philosophicalitic. That's what it sounds like
My #1 pet peeve is when people say that other people who are well educated and have an extensive vocabulary should pretend they don't so that the less educated are not made to feel uncomfortable. I really hate that.
+Ken Molinaro I guess what I'm saying is even educated people would find her way of combining words rehearsed or contrived... Have you seen Dawson's Creek ? Remember how they used lots of SAT words to make up one sentence ? That's what this sounds like. Also, to insinuate that I'm uneducated is okay if it makes you feel better. I laugh because you don't know who I am...
I said what I did because I have never heard anyone refer to "SAT words". Words are just words. The way she talks sounds no different than any of my friends and colleagues. If she is comfortable talking like that then who are you to complain? She sounds the same in every interview and I've seen her interviewed many times.
dinkybo When artists reach her stature they are asked the same questions so many times. that after a while the answers & descriptions just roll off. They don't have to stop & think about their words & responses. So it SOUNDS rehearsed but it's not.
I'm convinced that Alanis is the most well-spoken female singer/celebrity I've ever heard. She's so articulate and intelligent.

Not just female; she’s the best out of anyone in my opinion & I’ve watched many.
There will never be another ‘Jagged Little Pill’. A total one-off masterpiece. Love it (as I do all of her albums).
She pulls such beautiful descriptive language together when talks. The focus on her craft is intense. She deserves our attention and our praise.
I have always loved the intelligence of this woman, such a strong being
Thank you 🤗🌈

Extremely gifted and damn good looking too.
+Douglas Street Seriously she all I aspire to be as an artist and yes I always felt she was beautiful
Love her! Still have the album twenty years later!
Loved her since high school! Still rock out to 'Ironic' singing in the shower. She's beyond a category/genre. She's a vibe all by herself.

She is still truly beautiful! What an unbelievable woman.

My God, this woman is gorgeous. And an outstanding singer, and thoughtful. And...
You are my favorite musical artist! God bless you, Alanis!
She's singularly awesome!
She's DIVINE !!!
I wish I spoke English and expressed myself like Alanis, she’s so well spoken and extremely talented.
the writer in me I totally agree!
A great wordsmith, all from the heart and life experience.
She has amazing teeth.
I know right
Joshua Abramson nope. She’s had the exact same teeth since at least 17 years old
They have bite. She's got a Great White gaping maw.
Yes. They're like perfect little white chiclets.
I’m 11 and I have this album and I listen to it almost everyday 😊😊
Same as me when I was 11
Love Alanis :) Magnificent!
Her self, or human, views are actually sound & philosophically deep
she seems really intelligent.
Always great person and artist!!!
She now has kids and still smokingly hot in her 40's - her and Shania Twain and my favys, no comparison, Alanis, pop-rock and Shania country
damn straight isn't so so beautiful??? in her concert that I went to a few weeks ago I was like 20 feet away from her and wow she is still beautiful in every way :)
Song meant so much to me when I heard it growing up. She stood for many of my feelings at that time. ✌️
Legend 🌟 ❤️
She's gotten more beautiful with time. Maybe it's good genetics. Lucky Alanis. It very rare.
Back when you jammed records with friends and talked and weren't staring into phones with headphones on.
Right?
♥ love Alanis!!
she is gorgeous
GREAT 20 YEARS ALANIS MORISSETTE !!!
I feel so ancient right now.
Queen of the world. Of my life.
Ilove you somuch miss
Alanis is always smiling and laughing 😍❤️❤️❤️

Love her soooooooo much
All people just have to do is open their eyes and Hart's to what is right in front of you cxxx 💐🌷💚
We love you Alanis cxxx 💐🌷💚
Love you alanis more then youll ever know
This is one of her best interviews. She does better when she doesn’t get garbled in ten-dollar vocabulary.
Fanastic album
She's beuatiful, cos, best singer
sounds smart without trying to . . smart, pretty, cool, sexy, nice, talented . . rare lol
A true Queen...
cool album......
Nice.
Her hair game is strong. Well played hair. Well played. . .
Here for constructive Angry Anergy🔥🙏Alanis is just a little ooooo ....ICONIC !??
I could listen to her voice singing or speaking forever She awakens me
JLP is legendary - one of the finest albums ever recorded...
Greg Kamieniecki No one, except us are singularity anything!
Alanis is becoming prettier as she ages
I just said the same thing! She is!
Insane hot
Super gorgeous!!! Holy shit
singularly
😀
I am happy for her, she's written great music . . . but I am annoyed with "Grammy" because Tori Amos sold 20 million and never got a nomination.
I am just pointing this out to GrammyPro ... I really like Alanis AND Tori ... it is just, Tori didn't get the recognition by the power players of the industry.
She don't look as mentally deranged as she did 20 years ago. She has blossomed
Eloquence = Alanis
She looks like Lea Salonga
Alanis defeated Mariah's Daydream album that year!
She’s prettier the more she ages. Wow
I think she had alot to be angry about back then. I have read that some adult guy was having a relationship with her when she was a child.
She looks different.
Wow.....'singulararly spiritual'......WTF does that mean?
Only spiritual and no other qualities
..She's either had a truckload of botox or she's aged very well, she still looks like she's in her late 20s/early 30s.
+Peace Dweller she will be 42 on June 1st
