    I would highly recommend an oem only replacement. Monroe was nothing but a nightmare are starting hammering thru the dash within 5k miles.

    Where did you place the jack stands at to keep the front level in the normal jack points on the car? Thanks in advance!

      Jose Perez the ride is better than is was when the struts were broken, however it didn’t make the ride any smoother than it was originally. I used 2 jack stands in order to keep the parts and holes aligned when re-installing.

    Did you need to get the car aligned after replacing?

    • @dannyjackhammers
      @dannyjackhammers  3 роки тому

      Yes you will probably need to, it could affect the steering or wear the tires faster if you don’t. I didn’t right away but I was going to get new tires soon after.

      Hi DJ, I also have a 2011 Kia Sorento and was curious on what you went with and how is the ride afterwards? Regards, Phil...

      @@philipquihuis2695 Hi Phil, first I ordered from RockAuto but they sent wrong parts that didnt fit my Kia at all. I sent them back it was really hard to talk to someone other end returning parts to rockauto since they dont have phone no. It cost me 50$ to return the parts I was very upset and all. But my friend suggested to go to local junk Yard and try to buy from them so I did shop around and I found it exact same was newer . It cost me 75 each after installing my self. It rode great. But I had to taken to machine shop for lil bit wobble on my right passenger side. But it wasn't the strut had to change arm. After that was great no problem at all I still drive everyday to work no problem. May be want to look around junkyard sometimes you find close to new parts. Hope this help ...

      Carlos R I didn’t buy any extra bolts, I just used what was on the car and what came in the package.

    One of my struts clangs I did the correct torque and still keeps making that noise

    • @dannyjackhammers
      @dannyjackhammers  Рік тому

      Maybe it is defective, or make sure there is no pressure anywhere on any of the bolt on points.

    Thanks for the video. I have two questions. Are you using two separate jacks and where are you placing them. 2) Are you just wrenching those bolts down until tight, they do not require to be torqued? Thanks

    • @dannyjackhammers
      @dannyjackhammers  4 роки тому +1

      Vin Man I used 2 jack stands to keep the front level in order to line the holes up.
      Im sure there are torque specs but I just went pretty tight with my larger breaker bar.

      RUDY BILLIERAS try to make sure it’s aligned by putting a bar in the slot or try to level the car more.
