Do you believe in the trinity then?
Righteousness doesn't come by the law. Salvation doesn't come by the law. If you break one commandment you are guilty of all. Jesus fulfilled the law, and our sins are forgiven, by the grace of God, through faith in Him. The Father seeks people to worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. If keeping the law helps you to get closer to God, then by all means (although I assume you aren't sacrificing animals). But it's not making you more worthy of salvation. Jesus healed on the sabbath. If keeping the law gets in the way of spreading the Gospel and speaking truth, then it is bad to keep the law.

I totally agree. There is only one righteous and that is Messiah and he is our righteousness. I only keep the laws such as sabbath etc for the same reason that any other Christian keeps laws such as "thou shall not steal." I don't abstain from stealing to gain salvation just the same as I don't rest on Shabbat to gain salvation. We keep God's commandments because we're saved not to be saved. I hope that clarifies things. PS as a side note if there was a temple in Jerusalem I would still do animal sacrifice because it's clear from the book of Acts that the apostles did animal sacrifice at the temple long after Messiah's death burial and resurrection. Tye only reason nobody does sacrifice these days is because it is forbidden in the Torah to do sacrifice anywhere besides the Temple.
Issues concerning salvation aside I do want to be clear that breaking the sabbath is a sin just like stealing is a sin. It's not just something to do for extra brownie points, it's a necessary part of being a disciple.

@@crutherfordmusic ok yeah but it's also not just doing whatever you want? If I love my neighbor I'm going to follow the rule of not stealing. If I broke that rule if would show a lack of love. It makes no sense to think there's no rules that why Jesus said "If you love me, keep my commandments."
@@stillz100 Exactly right - if you love your neighbour you won't steal, or break their mailbox, or throw rubbish in their yard, or play loud music early in the morning, or...... etc.
@@stillz100 agreed. Jesus literally came down to show that HIS fathers commandments were able to be done by a human. We’re all humans, thus we’re capable of following God’s commandments like Jesus did. Jesus’ death allows us not to go to hell for breaking a commandment, but either way as Christians it is our job to keep the commandments because to truly love your neighbor is to not steal from them or lie to them or commit adultery against them or kill them, etc
