Bet that bobcat never thought the script be flipped on him like that 😅
😂😂😂😂 yup, he had no clue lmbo
😂😂😂😭😭😭😭
Bobcats actually respond quite well to cage traps. They are not particularly afraid to go into a cage for the most part. One trapper in southern California caught 130 bobcats in one winter. Of course foothold traps work fine, but cage traps still do a pretty good job. Bobcats can be caught in cage traps much smaller than the one shown. Commonly used traps have openings from 9x18 to 12x24 with a length of 37 or 38 inches long. Some are single door, others double door. We like traps with folding internal bifold doors that can be set in tight places and in all weather conditions north and south. The newest cage traps have wire triggers and powered door.
That bobcat impersonation was spot on!!🤣. Love all the vids brother!

A fellow Hunter and I had bobcat I stuck in in the pressure cooker 30 minutes. Marinated it in teriyaki before bbq. Tasted very good. The other meat I pound it out thin marination over night for jerky.
Bobcat and even Black bear are terrific as jerky. Thank you DMFD
You sounded a little emotional when killing that bobcat. I’ve always said if you’re not sad when you kill anything, you need to check yourself. Death is sad. Sometimes required.
I agree, I hunt and I always try to make sure whatever I kill that it's quick and that my shot is good and always eat it, I feel bad/sad. Because your taking somethings life so I try to treat it with as much respect as I can.
As someone who is a cat liker and a hunter as well I can still appreciate this. With that said I always have a sense of sorrow when taking an animal. This cat was taking chickens and really was an issue. Cudo's to you guys for eating it although I think I would have had a hard time doing that. If you kill it you should eat it. +1 sub
I agree, as much as I was sad, I realize it needed to happen. That Bobcat was a problem, though I absolutely believe more care should be taken with those chickens. Perhaps a livestock guardian dog? I don’t know. I’ll go ahead and state that my thought was that he better use that pelt and at least some of the meat, which he did, so I can’t be too terribly upset. He owed at least that much to the animal, which he understood and followed through on.
That all being said, I wish he had gotten more footage of the animal while it was alive, and maybe taught us some really cool and amazing things about Bobcats. I mean, if you’re going to have an animal trapped like that, you’ve got time up close to the animal that you can film for something like that. Also would have been cool if we got to see a couple cute moments with it, like it playing with a feather wand or toilet paper, or maybe even a catnip experiment. It’s a wild cat, but it’s still a cat. There was a lot of missed opportunity for cool footage of the live trapped animal.
Above all, it made me all the more grateful for my own domesticated kitty, whom we named Lynx, because his belly has the patterning of the spots of a lynx or bobcat.
When I killed my first cat I was very sad as I have 2 at home as pets. But no turkeys in a huge woods where their was tons a couple years ago is a problem. Just wish I could trap the yotes as well. Also got a fisher they need to be kept in check in upstate too!!!
@@AlphaWolf096 nah i think kill it as quick as possible, these animals are very inteligent and keeping it trapped like that it isn't going to start playing with a feather my man. It's in fight mode and terrified for its life lmao
Something should eat it. For coyote or cats...I'm hesitant due to vague concerns of safety, but don't care that they're "cute". I feel the same way with carp. I think...if I was starving or dying I'd consider eating a carp. However, I know that if you've had fish at a Chinese restaurant you've probably had dirty ditch carp. Hopefully, from the US and not China. I'd give props for feeding the bobcat to pond fish, or the poetic justice of chopping it up and giving it to the chickens!
Really an issue? It’s chickens, and let not forget the animals were here first we moved into there land. So instead how about secure the chickens better and the cat will leave.
Your face doesn’t convince me or my son that it good lol😂😂😂 but we loved the video
I love cats and I felt bad but then Rob brings sense and understanding into the picture and then I realize God put that bobcat there to show us all a valuable lesson for Rob to show us. Thank you Rob and God you are amazing.

FLORIDA MAN EATS HIS PROBLEMS
💀💀
He said it was his neighbors property and chickens that they use to feed children in India, so I wouldn’t say it’s his problem. But he did make it his problem for the video.
@@LeeBro999 it's his neighbor's problem and he needed Rob's help taking care of said problem. That's the way it works down south and should work everywhere.
I won't be surprised if you Google it, it shows up...because once you type Florida man everything else is as follow 😂😂😂😂
When I was a boy in Iowa, we used to trap and sell the pelts! We would catch racoons and always set two leg traps since they will gnaw off one leg and could escape. Two legs and they are not going anywhere!
I've never had a raccoon gnaw off a leg with a size 1 1/2. Usually, if they chew, if means you used too large of a trap and they were able to fit their mouth under the jaws of the trap. These days, people use dogproofs to specifically target them and that makes it impossible for them to chew
"but in this case he gives it to an orphanage in India. I know that sounds cliche like, sure. But, o.o O.O it's what he does."
"ohmygosh i can't believe they would kill a bobcat, well guess what, anything left unchecked just becomes a problem. The ones that are outside, we don't have a problem, the ones that are terrorizing the chickens we got a problem with. And we're gonna eat the problem."
hahahahaahha you crack me up man
I wasn’t really sure how I would feel at the end of the video, but the life was honored and the harvest was respectfully explained and done.
This was interesting and cool how you protected your land and used / ate the animal and didn’t just kill and waste it. That shows a high level of respect.

Is it legal to kill a bobcat in Florida?
Furbearer regulations:
Bobcat and otter may be trapped statewide Dec. 1 - March 1. No limits. Raccoon, opossum, coyote, beaver, skunk and nutria may be trapped statewide year round.
Rob, are you out of season?
@@KeithHedger It was a nuisance animal on private property no need for a season for that
