Farming for better soils - rainfall simulator

VicNoTill was the first to bring a rainfall simulator to Australia in 2017 as a way of showing rain impact and soil infiltration under different farming systems. Our farmers helping farmers group has presented the rainfall simulator at many conferences and paddock events, creating a lot of discussion and interest, and resulting in many farmers feeling inspired to change their farming practices to improve the health of their soils and hence improve infiltration and reduce runoff.
