I’ll be moving to RAK in a few months. I don’t find any good video for this place but when I bumped into your channel I felt good. If you could please make more videos about the city, do’s and dont’s, things to do etc. looking forward
I was your neighbor for one year in Marina H I moved there after 14 years in Dubai and I loved it, Alhamra is way better than any gated communities in Dubai, I work in real estate and I know them all, the vibes you get in Alhamra are second to none. Thanks for your informative video.
The upcoming Wynn Integrated Resort will make RAK even more tourist and expat friendly in the years to come. The project includes a luxury shopping mall which should bring in the major luxury brands like LV, Dior, Hermès, Chanel, Prada, etc. and luxury hair salons. Hopefully, you won’t have to go to Dubai to get your hair and nails done when the new mall is open.
Thank you for this vid. It's really helped to put some perspective into the place. I've been thinking whether to rent a furnished place or just furnish my own place. Are there any furniture or home appliances store close by?
In my professional assessment, Ras Al Khaimah provides an exceptional standard of living. My two-year residency there was highly fulfilling, and I consistently select it as my preferred annual vacation destination. The lifestyle is characterized by relaxation and enjoyment, resulting in an unparalleled overall quality of life. Furthermore, it offers a conducive environment for families seeking a high-quality life.
You mentioned that rent is cheaper but it looks like the only difference is that you are paying half of what you were paying before because you are sharing the rent now.
In the video I mentioned that our Dubai apartment cost 125k aed per year for 3 people and in RAK it was 30k for 2 people. So you can see the difference
Do you prefer Dubai or Ras Al Khaimah? I also like Dubai Marina, but the prices are way to expensive now! How did you spend 4,000 AED in Dubai Marina. Was that when you split the cost with your boyfriend? Most of the prices are around 10,000 AED in Dubai Marina now.
Hmm it’s hard to say as they’re very different! I’d choose Dubai I think. I shared with 2 other girls in a 3 bedroom apartment :) expo has increased prices a lot this year!
@@mabelgoulden872 Thanks for this. I just arrived in Dubai now too. I'll see how long I can stay here, otherwise I'll make a trip to RAK. Murjan Island seems like a nice place.

Subscribed, brava Mabel, good info and I can confirm what you said about the difference with Dubai. I have been living in Al Ain for almost 12 years, so I know what you mean :) :(
*out of curiosity, how do you receive a parcel in dubai. If you buy something online. Because their's no address. When you buy something online they will ask you for an address. So put dubai and an email address?*
@@mabelgoulden872 *OK thank you cause I'm moving to dubai from London in April. I kept hearing people say that they don't have address in dubai. But yes thank. You for the info. I'm actually buying a house in (Umm al sheif district)*
Nice! Dubai is a fun city to date in but notoriously hard to find a “serious” partner is most people’s opinion 😅 it does happen though! Me and Connor met at a dubai brunch!
I have been offered a teachimg job in RAK, and I'm finding it really hard to decide! You are saying there is not lots to do, nightlife wise, activities and it isn't full of expats? For 20 something year olds if this a desirable place if you travel into Dubai on weekends?
Hey love! congrats! I’d say you’ll be in Dubai a lot yes! I’d say it’s similar to living in a suburban area in UK and you might travel to cities a lot for nightlife and more to do and see 🙌🏼
Dubai: UAE's largest city. less locals and everything is ran by expats. Its a challenging task to find locals RAK: UAE's 6th largest city. very rare to find tourists. more locals and less tourists
I live in RAK too. I work remotely, focus on my business and fitness routine. I don t go to clubs, making it the ideal location for me.
Good stuff! Enjoy! This sounds like me when I was living there hehe :)
I’ll be moving to RAK in a few months.

Did you move to RAK? I might be moving for teaching but worried its to quiet and I might get bored and lonely there compared to Dubai
Did both of you move?
@@ellerfitz I wanna know that too lol

Where in RAK would you recommend? I drove around and it all looked a bit dilapidated. So many shops were closed down.
I’d recommend Al Hamra village
