The fact that Delta heavy released a video dedicated to portraying how all the initial and classic memes are forgotten/overlooked and are stomped into the ground is nice in itself. Delta heavy never fails to hit the central feels, video complements the track nicely. Good stuff.

The feelings I got while watching this can't be described... on one side I felt really bad for poor clippy and on the other side I felt nostalgia because I remembered myself staring at the Windows XP screensavers for hours. Impressive video!
But what about it saying its safe to turn on your computer at the end? Perhaps he didnt nuke the world (altough why the space ships are there i have no idea, perhaps to represent international progress as the spaceships were one of humanitys greatest acheivements and that Clippy deleting the internet was an international acheivement) but had instead deleted the internet explaining the static as he slowly gets deleted byte by byte.
I forgot to add that the internet was propably restarted but this time his efforts were not in vain and that the time the internet was gone, people recognized that the internet is a big part of todays society and although games and social media were missed. The easy access to worldwide knowledge was gone and people had to resort to books and librarys and relize that the internets purpose was not in fact to entertain us but rather to teach us and guide us though our school projects, the how to guides and catching up on world news. And in the end the internet was restarted but was now more focused on teaching us. Dont get me wrong, there will still be social media and games but more people will recognize what Clippy has done and perhaps work towards the internet being more knowledge based. But thats what I think happened.

The feelings I got while watching this can't be described... on one side I felt really bad for poor clippy and on the other side I felt nostalgia because I remembered myself staring at the Windows XP screensavers for hours. Impressive video!

But what about it saying its safe to turn on your computer at the end? Perhaps he didnt nuke the world (altough why the space ships are there i have no idea, perhaps to represent international progress as the spaceships were one of humanitys greatest acheivements and that Clippy deleting the internet was an international acheivement) but had instead deleted the internet explaining the static as he slowly gets deleted byte by byte.
I forgot to add that the internet was propably restarted but this time his efforts were not in vain and that the time the internet was gone, people recognized that the internet is a big part of todays society and although games and social media were missed. The easy access to worldwide knowledge was gone and people had to resort to books and librarys and relize that the internets purpose was not in fact to entertain us but rather to teach us and guide us though our school projects, the how to guides and catching up on world news. And in the end the internet was restarted but was now more focused on teaching us. Dont get me wrong, there will still be social media and games but more people will recognize what Clippy has done and perhaps work towards the internet being more knowledge based. But thats what I think happened.
