Why Kepler? Didn’t we have a guy named Hayes? Hayes never was giving a real chance. He was ill. Hayes contract was around 6 million and Kepler is 10 million.
He's still owed 2/$40M. Idk that kinda means they need to pay some of his salary right? It's not like they're overflowing with prospects. Nobody really wants to pay "premium" for Bohm because his value isn't as high as they're selling him for
I'm a big Phillies fan, but I think that they're going downhill in the next few years. Cause I think that they need one more impact player to get them over the top. And it's gotta be an outfielder with power. And there's not that many out there like that anymore. They need to keep bohm and not try to give him away. We gave away Sir Anthony for a guy that had a good half season two years ago. What a waste. This team isn't getting any younger. I really hope it works out for them. But honestly I don't see it.
It’s an ‘OK’ signing by itself but how it works as a team is a ? mark. Marsh/Kepler and left handed pitching all in the same line up? On the other hand….defensively….CBP left field is considered one of the easier left fields. If you move Casty to LF to put Kepler in RF what’s his arm strength…..again, a lot of questions.
The only thing that I'm going to say about this move is it doesn't really move the needle one way or the other, but unless he's just going to be a depth piece and that would be an expensive depth piece then having both Brandon Marsh and Johan Rojas to go along with him and you can throw Casty in there as well is all redundant. This signals to me that we are trying to get rid of one of the outfielders, but I could be wrong. Out of all our outfielders though, Casty would give us the most in a return, but I don't think anyone wants that contract and Johan Rojas can't hit literally anything unless it's right down the middle.
Casty drives me crazy when he’s swinging at flies at the plate but in the post season, he is playoff jimmy.. max is a legit unknown, smells like a couple trades incoming 👀
Phils fans don't wanna hear "this is still a really good team" because it's a team that's clearly not capable of winning a championship as currently constituted. We're hoping for something big enough to move the needle in that regard. We don't think this is like a video game on franchise mode. We're not fucking morons, thank you.
Bingo, and this team sure is good on paper but we were a better team on paper then the Mets last year and the dbacks the year before and look how that turned out
Phillies are too close to the luxury tax threshold to do anything. To make an impactful signing they need to move off Tajuan walkers contract and no one is taking that paper off us. He is largely seen as a lost cause.
Didn't Trevor Bauer say he'd sign anywhere for league minimum? I think the Phillies should pick him up hahaha I mean... the girl is the one that was the bad guy in the situation....
I like the signing however I don't love the signing. 1 year deal cant go wrong. In 2019 he raked with almost 40 HRs. Had a pretty good 2023 as well.. Health was always an issue with him but plenty of potential. Lets see what other moves they do before I judge this one.
I’m saying this from a genuine point of lacking understanding. Why are the Phillies having so many financial issues when the Dodgers are spending 10 billion dollars with no problems?
Your kidding right! Sounds like this Kepler signing is similar to the Whitfield and Austin Hays signings that were suppose to be the answer. This is a bad signing!
If these guys really wanted to win a World Series and they really cared about the integrity of the game they would all restructure there contracts to get better players but that will never happen! Why can’t the Phillies do what the dodgers did with Ohtani if there concerned about money sign guys and spread out there contracts or we not that smart In Philadelphia???
This signing tells us they are sitting on the wallet! If you do not wanna give up the prospects, play them before they turn into 26 yr old prospects, wasted years in the minors. SO FRUSTRATING!
This is a big fat L. This is not a move that’s going to push the team back to the WS. It’s clear the front office is more concerned about saving money and running it back for a 3rd year in a row. If the trend continues we won’t make the playoffs next year.
The other thing that I want to say in regards to the Phillies plan is that Dave has shown his hand and showed too early what he was trying to do. Now he is backtracking and so is Rob Thompson with their words, but their actions are saying something totally different like when Rob Thompson said they aren't shopping Alec Bohm, but we literally offered him and Casty for Kyle Tucker. Dave is trying to finesse and get something from other GM's that he just won't get for Alec Bohm and I don't know if he's going to accept that. He has to change either his approach or give them something different like Ranger Suarez or Casty or even maybe Brandon Marsh. He has to stop holding on to all of our players from last year and acting like they aren't available when pretty much anybody for the right price should have been available unless they are Bryce Harper or Trea Turner and that's just because no one would take his contract. If they want a starting pitcher in a young one from the Mariners give up Alec Bohm casty and one of our lower prospects not Crawford or Aiden Miller, but somebody else and then see what they say to that. Dave has to realize the teams that actually need a 3rd baseman and the Mariners are one of them so they will give up a young pitcher, but you have to meet them halfway with the better package than just a person that got benched in the playoffs.
Luke answers every question like he it’s the first time he hears it. Guy never does his research and never got a concrete opinion. He always gets what the fans are feeling but the guy never has a good opinion and his lack of confidence doesn’t make him seem creditable.
I hope it's not another Austin Hayes move. So far, the Phillies' off-season acquisitions are akin to receiving a fruit cake for Christmas.
I hate fruit cake.
They are trying to be the smartest team by "low risk, high reward" WINDOW IS COSING FAST!
Whit Merrifield was also a good sneaky signing too... wait a minute.
He is available 😂😂😂
Why Kepler? Didn’t we have a guy named Hayes? Hayes never was giving a real chance. He was ill. Hayes contract was around 6 million and Kepler is 10 million.
Quit blowing smoke up our butts !!!!!!!! This sucks !!!!!!!!
How will the Mets counter this move?
It’s a good signing. Well worth the risk. Not looking good for Casty tho, but I wouldn’t mind seeing him go if it helps them re-sign Hoffman.
He's still owed 2/$40M. Idk that kinda means they need to pay some of his salary right? It's not like they're overflowing with prospects. Nobody really wants to pay "premium" for Bohm because his value isn't as high as they're selling him for

Should have kept Hayes if this was the move for the outfield
Love your videos !!
Thanks so much!

Wonder if they think kapler playing left and platoon marsh and Rojas in center?? I kinda hope this ain't the answer..
Casty drives me crazy when he’s swinging at flies at the plate but in the post season, he is playoff jimmy.. max is a legit unknown, smells like a couple trades incoming 👀
Yo guys, no Hoffman we don’t want the picture that had two of our playoff losses that cost us just like the year before but win Kimble
Phils fans don't wanna hear "this is still a really good team" because it's a team that's clearly not capable of winning a championship as currently constituted. We're hoping for something big enough to move the needle in that regard. We don't think this is like a video game on franchise mode. We're not fucking morons, thank you.
You are though
Bingo, and this team sure is good on paper but we were a better team on paper then the Mets last year and the dbacks the year before and look how that turned out
Lol I’m done. Call me when Dombrowski gets serious or is fired cause if Romero and Kepler are our big additions this offseason we’re cooked
I don’t see Kepler is much of an improvement over Hayes and it’s costing more.
Kepler is just Austin Hayes
were there any 50 year olds left in the mlb for them to get?and make sure they re injured..
At this point I’m just hoping there saving money for next offseason
This is not a good signing! Can't hit lefties. Another lefty bat. Mediocre fielder. Not much better than Rojas or Marsh
oh christ lol you are one of those constant negative people. So god dam pathetic.
These cheap signings are very telling! If the go this route, go pitching HARD! Burnes and Tanner Scott.
Phillies are too close to the luxury tax threshold to do anything. To make an impactful signing they need to move off Tajuan walkers contract and no one is taking that paper off us. He is largely seen as a lost cause.
The European Austin Hayes!
Didn't Trevor Bauer say he'd sign anywhere for league minimum? I think the Phillies should pick him up hahaha I mean... the girl is the one that was the bad guy in the situation....

I am whelmed. This better just be the first domino.
Marsh/Rojas +Kepler/Weston Wilson platoons
I’m saying this from a genuine point of lacking understanding. Why are the Phillies having so many financial issues when the Dodgers are spending 10 billion dollars with no problems?
Dodgers are willing to pay luxury tax phillies are not willing to enter the next threshold and are capping themselves.
Left field is the easiest outfield position to play Dah!
Followed by. Bregman signing?
If so, getting very expensive, which I don’t care about, but I don’t wanna see them forfeiting high draft picks. 🤷🏼♂️
If they trade Casty I'll be soooooo mad
Your kidding right! Sounds like this Kepler signing is similar to the Whitfield and Austin Hays signings that were suppose to be the answer. This is a bad signing!

They def know something that we don't lol wish they would have just grabbed Santander instead.
Should have just signed Profar
Castellanos and Bohm going to Seattle for Castillo?
The Walker contract continues to kill this team
This signing tells us they are sitting on the wallet! If you do not wanna give up the prospects, play them before they turn into 26 yr old prospects, wasted years in the minors. SO FRUSTRATING!
Bum ass signing another Hays type deal. This dude hasn’t been solid since 2021.
This is a big fat L. This is not a move that’s going to push the team back to the WS. It’s clear the front office is more concerned about saving money and running it back for a 3rd year in a row. If the trend continues we won’t make the playoffs next year.
he hits leftys,,,
Who cares? This is NOT a big move in any way. This is another Merrifield/Hayes kind of deal. Lame.
The other thing that I want to say in regards to the Phillies plan is that Dave has shown his hand and showed too early what he was trying to do. Damaged goods.
I like him but if he can't hit lefties he better start practicing.
Phils going for 3rd place in the division with all these past their prime hacks lol
Sneaky good signing? Yea ok zero impact
ur high
Changes Everything........No
Soft shoe Dave loves kicking the tires in the used car lot….
You have to be kidding, horrible signing
He sucks. Get Santander or I quit my tix

Thanks for watching!
This team is a JOKE..
DAMBROWSKI has adopted STEARNS cheapskate attitude.
Merrifield
We win the series now LOL give me break
