Best tips for first time visitors: dont go to the red light district, dont go to the flower market.. dont eat stroopwafels above 3.5 euro and dont go in all the tourist cheese shops. ( if you see cheese in all different colors.. it's probably a tourist trap. Just walk and explore.. and get your cheese and stroopwafels at the albert cuyp market.

Once more: get off Damrak, people. And don't buy stroopwafels on Kalverstraat.
