Using a scribe to open a body panel shows how long you’ve been doing this. Lol. I rarely see anyone doing that but it is the best way from back in the day. Looks great.
You do amazing work Wes. Just curious, but how many hours does a truck like this take to complete? I have a hard enough deciding and committing to cutting something up. Anyway keep the awesome build videos coming!
@@wesmadebuilds681 I was referring to the actual TV show, "This Old House"... ya know before the internet existed. Great work Wes, not a dig, just a comment dating how old I am ;)
I was too, don't worry didn't take it that way. I just remember when I started doing this and realized they were just using canned music. I thought it was funny. On a side note, I remember watching the very first TOH. I have been watching them ever since.
Yeah, bashing isnt really my thing. Never understood spending hundreds on an RC and purposefully destroying it, but to each their own. I do build them to last and this could easily be rolled during normal driving and survive. People are pretty surpised just how tough these styrene bodies are. The cab s steel so, no hurting it at all!
That is as impressive as anything I've seen in the RC world. What great timing with the Dakar.
thanks, it did work out well

I agree, its awesome seeing them jump such big trucks
You never fail to impress, amaze and inspire me Wes..... a true craftsman 👌🏻
Wow, thank you! The feeling is mutual.
Great build! RC Dakar has been my new RC bug. Currently working on a Kamaz myself.

It depends and I never keep track. If I had to guess 40-50 hours
great truck..going to do a similat build myself...what size of wheels did you use ..1.5..or 1.9 ..many thanks
1.9, good luck
Great works, what is the scale? 1/10 ,1/12?
I forget but this one fits on 1:10 scale axles.
Does the intro theme remind anyone else of "This Old House"?
This Old House uses all canned music, just like is available on UA-cam audio. I hear the same songs on everyone's videos now.

Thats nice. How durable are the bodies? I mean i know you cant go bashing with them. Lolb

Watch some RC Dakar racing vids. No doubt this will hold up to that.

the front is a Tonka truck and the rear is made from scratch-built styrene.
