Keep your plants bug free with these three simple tips. Safe ways to keep spider mites, thrips, and aphids off of your cannabis plants.
Heaviest thing I'll use is Pyganic, usually along with Neem Oil. There's also a version of Pyganic with Azidirachtin(the compound within Neem Oil). Works great for Spider Mites!
No problems lately. I use around a quarter tsp/gallon of Recharge, pretty much every watering, instead of using more, but once or twice a week. I've also been adding Insect Frass to my soil blend. A good Silica source is also essential.
Plants have been stronger and happier, every since!👍💯✌️
I decided to give recharge a try a few weeks ago. It's exactly what I needed. Anything that saves time and hassle is a bonus in my garden.
Hey Scotty, FL man here with my first grow drying currently, some White Widow from ILGM. I'm happy with oil production but I definitely let my fabric pot sit in standing water multiple times. Noticed a few fungus gnats too. Buds are a little hay-ish still. Definitely using some Grow Dots and Recharge with better genetics next round. Thank you for what you and C do!
Hey Scotty love these short videos. In my 5 season growing indoors and out. I have been using sticky traps in my grow room for fungus gnats and other pests with a living soil set up. Outside I like to use the oils mixed with water and I spray at first sign of pests.
Haven’t tried grow dots or recharge yet but I am going to pick some up to try. I am currently trying to do mostly compost and all natural nutrients. Making up some egg shell and banana tea for calcium and potassium. Seems to be working pretty well so far. Plants are strong and thriving.
Keep up these awesome short videos and I’ll watch every one you put out.
Grow on brother. 😎
Great show Mr Real ❤
Thanks for the video!
I remember the mite days in the early 90's. You'd get clones for your show and they'd come with mites. Back then you could still get pesticides with DDT (if you knew where to go) I remember Q-Tipping every leaf of every clone with the DDT and i still had a infestation. And 32 plants on a 4x8 flood table gets crowded and impossible to manage when there are bugs.
One trick I’ve found is to close the tent’s passive intake screens and hook a clamp on cold air intake engine filter to a 4in intake fan on a bottom port
Cheers Scotty!
Avoid walking in grass/lawn then go into grow, will bring spider mites. change clothes and shoes if so , same with pets too keep them out of the garden
I’d love to have these shorties on podcast sir ❤
I remember on Jim Belushi’s show his workers told him not to spray neem with the lights on he forgot to turn his lights off and burned up some very important mamas
Anyone like the bio stuff like Regalia biofungicide (Giant Knotweed), Grandevo bio insecticide (Chromo bacterium), Venerate bioinsecticide (Burkholderia)? The CG Versions are approved for Cannabis in Oregon and Cali but they don't seem to get a lot of press.
So I have neem and diatomaceous earth I recently bought a clone and it had spider mite but I hit it with a neem at first then after I let that do its thing I hit it with the diatomaceous earth and I haven't seen not one bug since I'll probly hit it with a touch up of diatomaceous earth just to be safe in couple more days also scotty I never hear about diatomaceous earth is this not a good thing to use that won't hurt the plants
What about the preying mantis?
Love these commercials
Right there with you. Salty or sweet there Matt?
Legend 💫
Don't know how to spell that bug that eats spider mites so google took me to brasil😂
Got to say thank you to Scotty that recharge is no joke it will make your plants perka up and pray 🙏🚬⛽🌬️✈️ great stuff glad I found your products.
Hey I've got a question about a bag of Ocean floors Fox farm potting soil and I put it out and I watered the seedlings and where the water got in the catch bucket below it molded but the bag smelled like mold will that stop my seedlings cuz it looks like they're stunted
I use a turkey baster to remove water from trays that doesn't absorb within the hour. I hear ocean is a bit strong for sprouts, and some people mix 1/3 perlite in to help with preventing soggy and compact soil by letting it drain better. Im a noob too.
Dont use ocean forest ,use happy frog or promix and real dots for amendments .OC is too hot and will cause you real problems like stunted growth .it took me 6 mths to find this out because i was following a POSER @@eternalspring1034
A bag of soil should not smell like mold, that could be a sign that the soil was to wet a the wrong type of microbial life has colonized, it could slow down your plant. try letting it dry back a little bit then watering in some Recharge will help correct any imbalances in the root zone.
USE A SHOP VAC, USE WHITE PAPER FILTER , attach the 3" hose to a 3" pvc pipe 2 foot long. Inside tent ,attach 4 small 1 inch vacum hose to 4 Yellow funnels stuck on ends of hose. Use a plastic back flow preventer so bugs cant out of vacum. When timer is off . They will dry out and die. Put the funnels at base of plants , run for 1 hour every few hours.
SIERRA NATURAL SCIENCE....number 209 soil soak.....use in the water for your first few waterings and also spray the 209 on the main stalk from soil up to first nodes....you buy it in small pouches and you just add water.....and they make a lot of MMJ friendly products for protecting you plants against pests......I'm just a happy user!!!
I had spider mites one time with soil grow never again canna coco all the way havent got pest yet
Introduce centipedes to your soil it's like having a Super Hero in your corner 🙌 😊
Mine developed tiny bullet holes
beauveria bassiana

bug prevention, buy good soil bug free, fox farms ocean forest, overwatering attacks flies, bugs , keep the top soil dry, build a screen house around the outdoor grow area it's cheep, keeps moths, butterflies off the buds, you can even use shade cloth in hot desert , no worms, healthy plant no spider mites , keep the area clean get chickens to eat bugs,
don't run with a knife in your hand , use the cross walk. if you get spider mites because the plant was stressed , spider mites don't attack healthy plants or all plants would have spider mites.
Die Zucker Blätter nehme ich natürlich immer mache mir e Zigaretten Liquid raus da ist dann nur noch ein bisschen terpene
Moth balls. Keep your spider mite at bay
