I walked the Francés from St-Palais last year, and next year I will walk the second half of the Via Tolosana, i.e. from Toulouse to Puenta la Reina. I am looking forward to continue my Camino. Thank you for the beautiful pictures and musics.
@@annieperso I thoiught the same thing, but there are some very rugged mountains in the Haut Languedoc, with lots of up and down, some very steep and rocky, whereas the Pyrenees crossing is more gradual over 2-3 days.

I have a house exchange in Lautrec, near Toulouse, in August and beginning of September 2020, so I thought I'd walk another way, or part of it, after the exchange. Once you walk one, I find it difficult not to continue. Like a hygiene of the spirit and of the body. Even if I live in Québec. :-)
I've enjoyed watching your videos of the Tolosana and the Aragones as I prepare to walk them this summer (with some extra hiking in the Pyrenees). I'm in my seventies as well, so your account was very encouraging.
How special! 1952! Did he leave any written record? Take any pictures? Any other information to share? Few people were walking then. It was Franco’s Spain. I’d love to know more!
The mayor of Sabiñánigo told the policeman off when he found out my father was a pilgrim on his way to Santiago.He must have shown them his credentials.
My husband and I walked the Camino Aragones last April and we loved your video. Confranc was snowed in so we started in Jaca and I especially loved seeing photos of Arres and Ruesta. The photos of the beautiful Aragon valley, swollen rivers, and muddy paths brought back great memories. We’re returning this April to walk from Biarritz to SJPdP to Pamplona and then to Lourdes (so we will retrace some of the Camino Aragones). I noticed you returned to San Francisco (we’re from Sacramento!). Thanks again for sharing.
Thank you, Cynthia for responding. We hope to go back in the fall and walk the Tolosana from Arles to Toulouse, as we had started in Toulouse last spring. When we finished in Puente la Reina, we spent a few days in Bayonne, and discovered a camino trail right through there that would connect to the Norte. Still many routes to follow! We are in New Mexico, but airfares are often less expensive from San Francisco, so we go there to see family coming and going.
Enhorabuena. Has sabido plasmar muy bien el paisaje y la esencia del Camino Aragonés. Apuesto a que te gusta la Fotografía. Tengo una anécdota referente a ese camino, cuando ni siquiera podía imaginar que algún día lo recorrería. Pero carezco de capacidad de síntesis y me temo que me extendería demasiado; resultaría pesado.

Thank you, Anne! We just finished the first half of the Tolosana, and found it more difficult and much wilder than the part from Toulouse on.

My father walked this way in June 1952, to Santiago.He reached there on the 24 th of July,the eve of the feast day.❤

He also found the storm in the mountains scary as well as semi- wild dogs.Luckily,a shepherd ushered him under a rock to shelter.

Are there many Albergues on this section?
Yes, quite a few-many fewer people than on the Frances. MiamMiam Dodo lists places to stay.
