Could just be that Amrabat needed about a season to adjust to the EPL. It's not new, lots of players from other leagues have come to the EPL and needed quite a bit of time to get up to speed, not just for United.

For United it won't be an issue as either both fullbacks will move forward or it will be the left one and De Ligt will cover the center.
