Otters are born to be free. Please, don’t adopt one. Get a ferret at least. But don’t put an otter in jail ( your home), if you really love them, don’t be selfish. Protect their freedom and work for their rescue and release.
That is so interesting and cute I want to adopt him Because they are just so cute and I love to play with Otters when I go to a zoo And they just follow me and I've helped give birth to an otter
That's kind of how we taught our 9 month old daughter!! We would put her under the water and "push" her through the water (from Mom to Dad and visa versa). She learned to swim by 1 year... Today...well... she swims with the dolphins out beyond the surf at Huntington Beach, CA
I love otters and the Oregon Zoo. Passes aren't that expensive and are tax deductible... Support our local zoo and go see Molalla and Tilly. (and other wonderful animals). :)
Molalla is the name of a Native American people that lived here in Oregon so it's more about the cultural significance than the femininity of the name. And it sounds like he'll be called Mo more often than Molalla. Either way, he's adorable!
The way the weather is changing - more downpours and flooding, there will be more and more wetlands for these beautiful creatures, that's if their food supply isn't poisoned by pollution. I hope not, they are beautiful family oriented mammals. Great video. I remember when I was thrown in the water to learn to swim, but not being an otter, I nearly drowned, ha ! Please come see my Animal vid's.
Let's stop everything we've been doing and start learning from otters. You be the first. Go have some kids. Drag them through the water by your teeth. Come back to this UA-cam channel and let us know how that worked out. We'll be waiting.
if only more mothers were this dedicated to helping their kids swim.
Solar Gaze Swimming isn’t vital to humans
@@toyah6459it actually is
"He weighed about a handful of jellybeans" We will literally use anything but the metric system 🤣
Those were some brutal swim lessons! :)
"Mom I'm tired...can I not swim today"
"Nope." *drags the cub on the neck and smacks it into the water
I have a statics test tomorrow that can make or break my GPA, and all I can do is watch these damned otter videos
haha that mom's like "LETS GO"
what a good mom! no nonsense and providing skills that will help Tilly survive. the best!
"Come on, junior, you're gonna learn how to swim!"
"But Mom, I don't wanna! I get water up my nose, and the humans all laugh at me!"
Cuteness overloaded :))
Aww so cutelly cool short peom
Moms do so much of the teaching and get so little credit!
It kind of looks like a mother cat dragging a kitten around, but in water. So cute!
1:20 Otter mom, "ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?!"
He is super cute! Sure some people are freaked thinking mom is hurting him.
when she drags her, she's like "moooom you're embarrassing me "

I worked with otters at a zoo, those without mothers were able to teach themselves and were able to teach their own pups just fine.
the most brutal parents are humans, this is caring ppl

Wow, looking at previous comments I guess otters really get women going. Time to get me a river otter!
Love otters!!
Humans don't need to throw their babies in the water - but it is important to get kids used to swimming young, so they can learn to love it.
Yeah, that happened to me when i was a kid :)
I love otters and the Oregon Zoo. Passes aren't that expensive and are tax deductible... Support our local zoo and go see Molalla and Tilly. (and other wonderful animals). :)
Hey that's like me when my mom drags me in the shower!
What they don't show is drunk step-father otter throwing molalla into the water and yelling "swim if you want dinner" while flicking cigarettes at it.
So darn cute 😍😍😍😍
omg the cuteness (づ。◕‿‿◕。)づ , I need to laid down for moment

Well .. just tell that when child says he/shes gonna ignore go to school :D
so, if we humans teach our children to swim using the otter's technique, is it good parenting or not?
Yay! Oregon zoo! Come see our beavers.
Aw sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute
Such an exigent mom
Pretty sure it's instinct, same way a human baby knows how to latch on to feed or a bird knows how to escape the egg.

The word you're looking for is water puppies.
Blocking accidents, we're going be there promptly.

If Tilly was orphaned, who taught her how to swim?
mummy otterrrrr EAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
Since they're so well adapted, we can dispense with sending them any foreign aid since we'll need so much of it for the maladapted kids here.
:'( wish i had one..i don't like dogs or cats i've always been in love with River Otters since i was a kid.
Hahaha what the FUCK are these comments?! Each one is more insane than the next. I cannot stop laughing. Lmfao.
