You probably get this a lot since season1 of hs but, I do very much appreciate the love you have for all these kids, especially Charlie when he gets a lot of judgement and criticism this year. I know this is one of the casual ‘I love him’ but that means a lot. Thank you❤️
aw no thank you 🥹 I genuinely try to be far to every character with every movie or tv show I watch as I do in real life. These characters are just so precious and I hold a special place in my heart for them all as in some way they all represent a small portion of who I use to be. And I haven’t watched anyone else’s reactions to this season so that saddens me to know that out of all seasons people would judge Charlie so harshly. I see ALOT of myself in Charlie as we’ve walked similar paths and I think those who can’t relate or understand that struggle may not be as empathetic to him or his story and that’s heartbreaking!
You were COMEDYYY in this video. The looking at the nails and then I almost got my back broke in half lmfaoooo I cackled. And the "IT SEEMS LIKE YOU'RE READY 🎵" PLS 💀💀
this show is portrayed so beautifully and they are SO mature for their age and they are all just so cute and i love it 🥹🥹🥹 snd i just love seeing your reactions to it because i get so emotional as well
On Christmas, I understand why Charlie feels the need to get away from his family, but I also feel bad for Tori being left behind and I’m glad she finally ends up at Nick‘s house. By the way, I’m assuming that Nick’s mom is always in another room for every scene we see at his house on Christmas. I certainly know I have gone to parties and then seeing people post pictures from the parties, and you could look at all the pictures posted and never know that I had been there. So it’s certainly possible. I like the way that the show doesn’t pretend that there aren’t setbacks along the way for Charlie, and that even someone is supportive as Nick can make a misstep, because that’s more realistic to me than having everything suddenly perfect.
I agree I kinda wish they showed the argument n full because that’s realistic it’s not gonna be happy go lucky and an easy recovery and even the ones you love your gonna run into problems with
I said it once, twice, probably a hundred times: this show is incomparable to any other tv show. The representation is everything and more! It teaches you how to communicate in the right way, also a lot about mental health and of course so much about LGBTQIA+ 🌈 I’m so grateful to live during the same time that Alice Oseman has graced us all with this wonderful graphic novel/ tv show.
Charlie needed to leave- he didn't feel safe there and his mom was fixating on the wrong thing and not actively listening to him. it's obvious that she loves him but what she is doing is not helpful when parents fixate on aspects of your mental health disorders in certain ways and do not actually listen to you on why your are angry - whether it's at them or different reasons it's so frustrating and can make the situation worse when you just want them to listen to you- and then you either walk away, yell at them if you feel safe to if staying calm has reached its end or is not working and/or you leave the enviromnt (personal experience). He should have had tori come with him though. until he is able to have a better relationship with his mom that house is never going to feel fully safe and so he will leave and go to where he does feel safe which is at nicks- he was also able to eat at nick's because of how comfortable he was! Charlie's worried about nick seeing his scars and there's also his body dysmorphia. the way the subtle transphobia was presented I thought was done well- a lot of times when people are being transphobic they think they are being an ally and can word their transphobia in a way that to some people (mainly cishets)can come off as fine and not seen as transphobic when in reality what they said and or did was very transphobic. I was speaking/yelling into my computer to Elle to leave, walk away and leave.
I’m so glad this video was happy make you feel betterrrr🥹🩵 that makes happier than you know 😭 like honestlyyy that’s been my goal since day one of this channel!!
“Let’s go to your place your mama not there anyway” girrrlll!!! 💀💀💀 you are too funny. Also that argument was just a small taste of what’s to come if we get a season 4 their definitely adding their big fight from the Nick and Charlie novella book
I also get the mom hovering considering Charlie had been struggling with his eating disorder at that point for well over a year so it’s like when you missed the signs and are now fully aware you wanna make sure you don’t miss them again so you start to hover and micromanage so you know everything that’s going on
Right, and fair. But also, it's not about her. When you're dealing with something like that, and trying to do your best and just be "okay". It's really hard, when you have someone continuously reminding you of it, tends to make you feel like that's all you are and/or all they care about you. Which puts a real bad dark cloud over you, especially if their reason for it, is about themselves and not you. Just going by what you stated in your comment. Both sides are definitely understandable, but his mother being overbearing and essentially trying to micro-manage and/or control it, then getting angry and frustrated when Charlie is just honeslt with her... all of it just made it worse, for Charlie. His disorder and how he handles it, manages and his healing journey should be about him, and her means of helping should be about him. Not her 🤷🏽♀️ That's where I think she, and unfortunately alot of people fail, in situations like this. They're very incapable of taking themselves out of the equation. So their fight over it, was rough, but I think it was necessary.
I just found you today because of Heartstopper and halfway through the E3 and E4 reaction and was like where are the next two then boom! You got a new subscriber/fan over here! I got to jump into the HOD reactions next!
Charlie’s mom needs to learn to regulate. She was stressing me out and I’m grown, like ma’am. If they stress you that much find out how to interact with them on your terms. Also, Tara having her panic attack is understandable she is having so much pressure put on her, self imposed or otherwise.
I am loving this reaction but if you want more boy love a definite watch rn would be “love in the big city” that was adapted form a book it’s a new Bl that just released it is amazing. Based on a gay Korean man who goes on a journey of self-discovery while living with straight woman, and they become best friends. With stories of laughter, tears, and wounds between a mother in denial of her son's sexuality and his being unable to escape societal judgment. It’s a must watch very real and raw.
I'm so glad this show exists I wish it existed when I was a baby gay in the early 2000s but it's perfect 🎉❤ I am loving ur content! Keep up the good work

12:55 I agree this show really gives us all a blueprint for navigating difficult conversations.
I like Michael! He's so thoughtful.
He has scars on his arms from self harm when he was looking in the mirror with his shirt off
Charlie done got that liquid courage and the freak came out lol
The Charlie x Tori sibling relationship is one of the best parts of the show tbh. The actress who plays Tori eats down
OMG you made me laugh so much in this reaction 😂😂😂
But seriously, you have quickly become one of my favorite reactors ❤
aw this means so much to meeeee😭 and I’m glad I was able to make you laugh 🤗 I had so much filming and editing this one 😂😂
