    Audience, I appreciate your time and effort in providing us with the Amana dishwasher video. Not only is the video informative and helpful, I find that, reflected in your video and generosity in sharing, is a sweet and kind quality of character that restores confidence in the humanity that suffers assault from every direction. Thank you for warming our hearts.

    So this dishwasher is known for not drying dishes. I thought mine was defective until I read the comments.
    I just attached a hooking contraption to crack the door to allow the dishes to dry without the door being wide open. That way it can at least still function as an oversized drying rack.

      Yes this is one thing I hate about this machine. I feel like the heating element doesn’t turn on. I’ve stopped using the heated features for the most part anyway. My tap water is extremely hot I get away with using the one hour was even on pots and pans. Just make sure you keep the filters in the bottom clean and be sure to remove the sprayer wands and rinse them and inspect for junk being caught.

    • @Kevin-hw3pn
      @Kevin-hw3pn 2 роки тому

      Ardie is correct. That 1 hour/high temp seems to work much better AND, you can remove all those filters at the bottom. The pods will clog those. We use the liquid cleaner and now it functions better. That Rinse Aid function though? Not good.

    For those of you complaining about not having dry dishes: Underneath the rinse dispenser cap when you untwist it there’s an arrow dial and numbers 1-3 and max. Set the dial to max for a complete set of dry dishes! 😉 Thank me later. 👍🏼

      Unfortunately it seems as if the rinse aid dispenser doesn’t work, I have it set to the maximum setting. The sight glass is always full too. I have had this machine for a couple years now and I’ve never had to add rinse aid, but it always says full…. Definitely not working.

      @@ardiemclelland2039 Right! You never have to add it because it never dispenses! But,.....as we're all learning you have to push that grey latch/button twice to prime the Rinse Aid well. You can actually hear it now-push it down 2 loud clicks. Push it again 1 loud click 1 softer one, right? THAT'S the click that supposedly starts or activates the Rinse Aid unit.

      Brandon Daniels you’re welcome!! Another tip for you, that I’ve been doing. I have liquid cascade that I use for light and regular loads of dishes and then if it’s a load with caked on dishes I will use the heavy setting with the hi heat option turned on. I find the cascade packs are way too powerful when you run the machine on normal, or hour wash.

      @@ardiemclelland2039 Thanks for that tip! Cascade packs actually came with the dishwasher. But, my mother actually had some Cascade packets in powder form. So, for my light loads, I simply sifted out a reasonable amount of powder... instead of using the packs that came with the dishwasher. I'll save the packs for large/dirty loads as you suggested. Thanks so much for the advice!

    IF NO WASH BUT FILLS AND DRAINS….DO THIS FIRST!!!….get a wet dry vacuum. Take out 2 upper rack stops. Take out the lower rack. Take out the screw in inside back of tub holding on water supply tube and remove….the rspray arm should twist and pop out along with the mesh screen and cylinder strainer thing….get an dish cloth and manually pour a couple quarts of water in the dishwasher…then…place the dish cloth around where the base of the spray arm sat to allow the vacuumed to reallly suck out any crap that might be stuck in there…my experience is that the little tiny pump does not humm when it’s clogged and the strainers that is built into the dishwasher really does not perform good…we are conscious about not putting stuff that could clog it but that is our experience after about 8 months of use…here, I thought the relay or fuse stuck on the card…or the pump motor went bad…not the case…a simple clog in the impeller of the pump🌈😃🤙

      Oh that’s not good. Have you tried turning the power off to the dishwasher at the circuit panel? Let it sit off for a bit and then restore power and see if that helps. It sounds like it could be an issue with the motherboard. Do you have a water softener and are you keeping the filter in the bottom of the dishwasher clean?

    Not all Ford F150 trucks are going to perform perfectly tho' most will for a long time if maintained properly and not abused. The Amana dishwasher is a fine dishwasher. Got one recently. I don't expect it to perform as an $800 dishwasher might, but unless a dishwasher can clean my dishes, and bring me my coffee and newspaper in the morning, I'm not about to pay the extra hundreds of dollars for it. Clean dishes are my main concern, and the dishes dry completely quickly after I open the dishwasher door. Guess I'm just old school where automatic dishwasher was me automatically knowing I was going to wash dishes after mealtime. But it was always a blessing. Seeing my family having plenty to eat always brought joy and a grateful smile while I happily washed dishes. May you all know such deep joy and remember the gift of reaching out to others in need.
