I am the head of the Edmonton Grove of the Church of the Reformed Druids, being incorporated in the province of Alberta on the ninth of May, 1984. We of the Druids did try from 1982 on to be recognized as a religion, but governmental resistance kept the us from being recognized, but our persistance paid off, kind of, ironically, in 1984. I am the Arch Druid, and you can call me Sky, for that is my Druidic name. If you would like to join the Druids, then give me a shout.

Unfortunately we know next to nothing about the real druids ..u can thank the fuckin rhomans for that ..just my opinion but noone should claim the title ( druids) today ...even with the best intentions and the most respect for the concepts of priests of the pictish ppl ..its still just neopagan guess work based on other shamanic practices. @boo174 - that for me was the only thing that spoilt an interesting video & thankfully it was only at the start .. I’m sure the narrator will be pronouncing it as it should be “Keltic” next time 😁
@@robgau2501rubbish dictionary. It's a hard "C". Most if not all professors of Celtic studies pronounce it that way, so there must be a good reason. That dictionary is likely including all ways it has been pronounced and not a definite correct way.
We pronounce Celtic with a hard C in the British Isles and that includes Ireland. There is a football team in Scotland called Glasgow Celtic who pronounced it with a soft C but we won't talk about that! 😅
@@tinkerbellbetty That’s cute, but the video said Druids spend many years studying and training with other Druids to just learn the basics. Witches have their Book of Shadows and often join covens; and one becomes a Reiki Master without thoroughly learning the art. I saw an online course(s) for Druids, but there’s probably much more to learn and master beyond that. I definitely have the ancestry and some past life memories, but no one becomes a Druid without putting in a tremendous amount of work and commitment. I get the magical aspect behind the “in your blood and poetry” comment but I was expecting a more pedantic response or a reference to research.
Why is it that no one discovers that in a past life they were a serf or peasant? You all need to gaze away from your own navals and take a hard look at reality.
And another interesting point.... for thousands of years, the ancient Rig Vedas, a whole library of knowledge, was passed on from generation to generation through verbal teachings.....just like how knowledge was passed on within Druid society. 🤔
Oh yeah, that's right. The Vedas had a lot of interesting knowledge. Even Hitler was interested in them and more so in the supposed knowledge they had about the "Vimana".
@consciousness-channel The Rig Vedas are over 5,000 years old and is a library of philosophy and knowledge. Why then do you bring up Hitler ? 🤔 The Virmana or flying object is mentioned in this huge libraryof knowledge, , but what does the mention of virmana have to do with anything ?🤔
You begin by saying that we know very little. Plus, they never wrote anything down. What we do know is that they were very controlling. A person could not contact the Gods on their own, and would be cast out or excommunicated if they did not follow what they said. Kings were under their control. We know only what we do by the writings of Julius Caesar - a friend a Druid holding them in high admiration - so he isn't a source to discount, and the Greeks. These shamanic practices you speak of sound more like those of Yogis in India or Native Americans. Women in Italy called the Benedicaria (the Blessed ones - NOT strega who did practice Black Magic) who are practicing to this day, found over 160 herbs with medicinal value. 85 of which are used in pharma to this day.
Julius Caesar did say "The Druids know much about the stars & Celestial motions and about the size of the Earth and Universe, & about the essential nature of things, powers and authority of the immortal Gods. And these things they teach to their people"
Ur right neo pagan guess work based on other cultures shamanic practices it's unfortunate we don't have more about theses ppl ...my ppl but we dont..and even if with the most interest and respect in mind they are not nor will there ever again b someone that could claim that title...celtic animist would b a more realistic title..

Druids did not believe in the philosophy of dead. We are all an expression of the divine manifesting itself in an infinite ways. The sacred covenant between our creator and us, the divine gift of eternal existence, although, through different expressions; nonetheless the essence is still the same. Ancient Egyptians believe that the book of life encompasses the knowledge of death; while the book of death - encompasses the knowledge of eternal life.
Druids and their descendants, followers all slaughtered. Free Masons were taken over and a new Druid order was formed. The Sami possibly close. Some monks wrote books about them.
Forget all the aliens, but believe in the grounded wisdom of Earth and your inner heart, the druids probably would have said. This video looks nice, but I think you`re kind of a dreamer.
Every one of us carry ancient DNA, that has been woven in from whatever is true about these people, and those lives. We are their children. Our lives are just a vehicle for DNA to carry out its own life, that could be endless. We are the "macro" that plays host to the "micro" No wonder God likes us so much - we're huge!
Druids daydreamed about god and mimicked star gates as did most priesthood societies in the world. Star gates were only opened from the other sides by the gate keeper.
@@theshamanarchist5441Link? Interesting claim. Believe though those are the Gaul in France. History falsified everywhere..What is your take on the Scythians?
Ultimately, the “Keltic” pronunciation has resurfaced in recent times as language historians opted for the word to better reflect its origins in Greek and Classical Latin. But there is no major gaffe or faux pas found in opting for the French-based, “Seltic” pronunciation that was commonly accepted for centuries.

According to the dictionary, either the hard C or the soft C are acceptable. I personally hate the soft one.

Still here in cornwall
I feel i have been a Druid in many lifetimes ❤
Probably aren’t then
I was doing a past life regression and saw a group of druids. I also believe I was a Druid.

Great content!! Still I think The Druids would make a cool sounding Motorcycle Club! 👍🏼
I was just thinking about the druids noch and a wren appeared in my garden.
But I was somewhere earlier and I felt a driachs lock

Very beautiful way to live
Brilliant video .Thank you From Scotland.
Glad you enjoyed it! We were in Edinburgh recently! That’s a magical place!
I truly believe, after hearing their beliefs, that I must be a Druid descendant …minus the shapeshifting! 😜
😅 interesting
Could be… why not ☺️
When in my early 30s I renounced Christianity and adopted Druidism as my spiritual path. I have never regreted the change.
Shapeshifting is a part of it
Me too. It's a precious knowing.
Didn’t realize the basketball Team was around back then
This gon be good
Not as good as the Aussie's bagging Trump all the time . This will be at least believable ❤
So after you watched it… what do you think ?
I watched this video, that means i am a druid.
There still around
Great video, I believe everything with the exception of the shape shifting, just bcs of lack of prove!
It’s probably symbolic

Heavens gate or hell's gate ?
Definitely me this is totally me I've been told by many that I had ancient druid decent
Most Irish are descendents of the druids all the men in my family are over 95% Irish and it's bee proved with the genealogy test
You cannot really prove Druidry in genealogy test. Not all Celts are druids and DNA test would only show Celtic heritage.
Just know, if your commenting your not a Druid.
How do you know
I enjoyed this video i really relate to this and feel like if i had the chance i would love to learn about it, practise it and support others

Yes they do...

I'm Scottish Welcsh Irish English so I believe I have Druid desent
Not everyone with Celtic heritage is a Druid.
Most likely pagans, but not necessarily Druids.
So did other cultures outside of the western isles
Druids also had Adder stones which are Serpent Stones
I oi resonate❤❤❤❤ with druid
These comments are wild.... i can't believe how many people actually believe they share anything in common with these ancient shaman.
