I’m soooo happy to see that it’s raining! We were there in August 2022, and it was so dry. The only water was from the runoff from Kilimanjaro. Wildebeest, Zebra and other animals were dying from a lack of grazing food, and water. The elephants were destroying all the acacia forests, for food. The one big surprise was the bird life. It was magnificent! We stayed at the Elewana Tortelis camp. It was truly magical. We’re planning a return in 2025. Love your vids!
Greetings from Canada. Watching this episode in the rain took me back to my childhood days growing up in Kabete, just outside Nairobi and the many safari's to Amboseli and Tsavo with my parents and brother. The smell of the grass, soil, air. Everything is exquisite in the rain in my beautiful Kenya. Always in my heart! Thank you!
We were in south africa in sept/oct and it was 98 degrees when we got there. Rained over night and dropped to 45 degrees and rain for the next 4 days. Our truck had no top and it was pouring but we had a great time and still saw many animals! The camp we stayed at was absolutely amazing (one of our favorites of the 11 african countries we have been to). We are heading to kenya in august (fingers crossed). Have you been to ole pejeeta/laikipia area?
Got to finally see Amboseli this past November. Stayed at the private house Kibo Villa. So many elephants and got to spend time with the majestic Craig….and Vronsky. Big beautiful bulls. 🐘🐘 Thank you for sharing.
I just saw your video about Safaris in the rainy season. It caught my eye because I stayed at the Old Tukai Lodge and I was there around June 5&6 2015. There couldn’t have been more than 15 people total at that time so I got to know the staff very well. It was nice to not to have to fight any crowds. I enjoy your videos and continued good luck to both of you.
It's good to rain ☔ Dave and Tracy Animals enjoy the rain ☔ and Also they get food to eat I think they get break from to much tourist and cars alest they can breed more babes nice video Dave and Tracy 🇰🇪🦒🐘
Very happy to see it raining at Amboseli too! Our travel group was there in November 2022, and I was very shocked to see so many dead animals with the drought. I hope you enjoyed Ol Tukai as much as we did!
Fortunately my main sense of enjoyment is simply being in the wilds of Africa so I'm never disappointed about not seeing an abundance of game. There is always something of interest if only by the campfire, wine and the company of other guests.
My biggest thrill is sleeping in a tent and listening to the lions and hyenas coming closer and HEY this is a bit too close! Stanley and Sue ( the camp hippos) munching grass about 2 m from my tent. And then there was the large, angry and aggressive Brown (Ashes I think) Spitting Cobra in our mess tent. Always something!
I would say so. You might be there when the short rain season starts which is no big deal. I normally rains daily but for a very short period of the day.
Hey guys we really love your show. I kindly wish you guys didn't do these naked in bed scenes, I watch this with my kids as do many others. It makes it weird and uncomfortable to explain to kids. Sincerely kindly requesting!
Buddy, I know you have done shorts but you need to venture into the 2-3 hour marathon to create a real adventure. It is the new youtube trend. BTW, you have picked up "I am not going to lie" in this video, just saying 🤣
Ok, so you went in January. We were just outside Amboseli in February of 2023, in Chyulu hills area, and it was DRY!!!!!!! We booked our next Safari in November of 2025, the beginning of the " short rains" and hoping the rain won't be too terrible, but as you mentioned in the video, we saved almost $1,000 / night, and got a stay 4 pay for 3 nights deal, which is allowing us to stay 12 nights at 2 properties in Mara conservansies , and 3 nights in Lewa ( per your video of Lewa Safari camp) If you have any videos of Safari in November, please let me know, I'll watch it immediately. It's nice to see green in Amboseli, they sure needed it 😊🌍🐘
We for sure have some! Simply look at the date posted. Everything posted in late Nov and early Dec was film in November and we have done so for the last 3 years so you most likely have 5 or 6 videos to watch! :p

Yes! I was there in 2023 and it was so dry and dead animals were everywhere. My friends tell me they are now receiving some rains.

During rainy season in amboseli animals tend to hide due to plenty of food and water.
They do.
