The Most Afzal Dua for Lailatul Qadr (If your benifeted by this just leave a comment in the reply comments) Allahumma Innaka Aafuwon Tuhibu AlAaffwa FAafu Aanni Oh Allah! You are most forgiving, you love to forgive, so forgive me. This is most recommended dua for Laylatul Qadr In a Hadith Aisha ra asked the messenger of Allah saw the best the dua laylatul qadr and this was he said
Thanks for the tips. Perhaps I may add my thoughts: 1. Namaaz may not be considered as One entity. It consists of various entities or parts like : Rukuh, sajda, recitation 2. Now we have to see how to make these parts as proper as possible When we are reciting Sura Fatiha, we are praising Allah, so we try to do with full involvement : gratitude and submissiveness. See the tafsir of Sura Fatiha by well known speakers in youtube or elsewhere 3. When in sajdah, the feeling which should come out is we are helpless and need His help , try to make it long (more than 3 , Subhan e Rabbial Alaa) 4. Similarly is rukuh 5 At Tashahdud (sitting in prayer ) Attahiyaata.............. praising Allah and sending blessings to Prophet (pbuh) and his family. Please try to know the meaning as a whole of these . Most are not Arabic speaking Sending blessings to the Prophet will make him intercede for us. This much we have at stake . Remember this and you will automatically be attentive and submissive. We should send blessings and salam to our prophet even outside of our prayers. 6. When reciting the Surahs , do it as if you sitting and reciting the Quran. Say it slow and crisp. We must make an effort to understand them, word for word or as a whole. 7. Some Surah ask for protection : An Nas, Falaq etc get mentally involved 8. Some very well known verses are quoted in the Hadith: recite them in the prayers a) Ayyatul Qursi b) Last 2-3 para of Surah Al Baqqarah( :2) “ Lillah he ma fiis Samawati ..” c) First ten Ayyat of Surah Kahf(:18) d) First 7-8 aayaat or more of Surah Mulk (:67) Sura Rahman, Waqiah and others When we see the prayer consisting various parts we try to treat them individually and try to perfect them as much as possible and not hurry through the prayer as if it is one. I hope this attitude helps us.
Salamu alaykom Murabit Muhammad Al-Amin said that before making the takbir of ihram, one should think about the following: Imagine that you have died, been washed and buried. Then imagine that the trumpet has been blown and now everyone is coming back to life. Then everyone is gathered together for the Qiyama. Then you see all the things described on the Day of Judgment (people running from their loved ones, the Hellfire being brought by the angels, people having their actions weighed, etc) and you are watching this. Then, all of a sudden, you are snatched up from behind and taken higher and higher above the Plain of Standing. Below you, you see everything that is happening. You also see Paradise and the Hellfire. Then you are dropped. Now you are falling. And you don’t know if you will fall into Paradise or the Hellfire… “Allahu akbar” and start your prayer.
Quran: Ultimately, the best dhikr is reading the Quran. Reward: You will be rewarded 10 rewards for each letter read. This prize basically illustrates the weight of the Quran in terms of where it should be in your life and the importance you should give it. Seeking Barakah of the Qur’an is worth more than hustling to increase our social status or profit margins - these things will die with us in this life and will add to nothing to us in the next if they weren’t mindful, done with the right intentions and aligned with our purpose in life. 2. SubhanAllah or SubhanAllah wa bihamdihi (“I praise Allah (or All praise if to Allah) above all attributes that do not suit His Majesty.”) Reward: A tree will be planted for you in Paradise. Nice! Start growing your own forest right now! Another hadith relates that whoever says this 100 times a day, his/her sins will be forgiven even if they were as much as the foam of the sea [Bukhari]. 3. Alhamdulillah (“All praise is for Allah”) Reward: Your scales will be tipped on the Day of Judgment, full of rewards! Abu Malik Al-Ash’ari (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Purity is half of iman (faith). ‘Al-hamdu lillah (all praise and gratitude belong to Allah)’ fills the scales, and ‘subhan-Allah (how far is Allah from every imperfection) and ‘Al-hamdulillah (all praise and gratitude belong to Allah)’ fill that which is between heaven and earth.” [Related by Muslim] 4. SubhanAllah wal hamdulillah, wa la ilahaillAllah wa Allahu akbar “I praise Allah (or All Praise if to Allah) above all attributes that do not suit His Majesty. All praise is for Allah. There is no deity worthy of worship besides Allah. Allah is Great.” Reward: This combination of dhikr is the one most beloved by Allah, subhana wa ta’ala. When you say them, sins fall off of you like leaves off of trees. Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “The uttering of the words: “Subhan-Allah (Allah is free from imperfection), Al-hamdu lillah (all praise is due to Allah), La ilaha illallah (there is no true god except Allah) and Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest)’ is dearer to me than anything over which the sun rises.” [Muslim]. Also Anas bin Malik narrated that the Prophet passed by a tree with dry leaves, so he struck it with his staff, making the leaves fall. Then he said: “Indeed, ‘all praise is due to Allah, (Al-Ḥamdulillāhh)’ ‘glory to Allah, (Subḥān Allāh)’ ‘none has the right to be worshipped by Allah, (Lā Ilāha Illallāh)’ and ‘Allah is the greatest (Allāhu Akbar)’ cause the sins to fall from the worshipper, just as the leaves of this tree fall.” [Jami` at-Tirmidhi] 5. La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah (“There is no power or might except (by) Allah.”) Reward: You will enter through a special door in Paradise for those who oft use this remembrance. Qais bin Sa`d bin `Ubadah narrated that his father offered him to the Prophet (ﷺ) to serve him. He said: “So the Prophet (ﷺ) passed by me, and I had just performed Salat, so he poked me with his foot and said: ‘Should I not direct you to a gate from the gates of Paradise?’ I said: ‘Of course.’ He (ﷺ) said: ‘There is no might or power except with Allah (Lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh).’” [Jami` at-Tirmidhi] 6. SubhanAllah (x33), Alhamdulillah (x33), Allahu akbar (x34) Can be recited after salat and before you go to bed/sleep. (“I praise Allah (or All praise if to Allah) above all attributes that do not suit His Majesty. All praise is to Allah. Allah is Great.”) Reward: We know that this dhikr is said after each salah, but when Fatima the daughter of the Prophet came to her father requesting a servant to help with the household, the Messenger of Allah told her to repeat the dhikr before her sleep and the results would be better than having a servant. Abu Huraira reported that Fatima came to Allah’s Apostle (ﷺ) and asked for a servant and told him of the hardship of household work. He said: You would not be able to get a servant from us. May I direct you to what is better than the servant for you? Recite Subhaana Allah thirty-three times, al- Hamdu li-Allah thirty-three times and Allah-o-Akbar thirty-four times as you go to bed. This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Suhail with the same chain of transmitters. [Sahih Mulsim] 7. Astaghfirullah (“I seek Allah’s forgiveness”) Reward: You will get protection from Allah’s punishment. In Surah Nuh, ayah 10-12, Allah relates the story of Prophet Nuh and how he instructed his people to seek Allah’s forgiveness. If they would just say “astagfirullah,” Allah would send them rain in abundance, and increase their wealth and children, and give them gardens and rivers in Paradise. “And said, ‘Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever a Perpetual Forgiver. He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [continuing] showers. And give you increase in wealth and children and provide for you gardens and provide for you rivers. [Qur’an 71: 10-12] 8. Ayahtul-Kursi [2:255] “Allah - there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.” ‘Allahu laaa ‘ilaaha ‘illaa Huu. ‘Al-Hayyul-Qayyuum. Reward: When you recite this verse before you go to sleep, Allah sends a guardian to you and no shaytan will come to you until morning. Those who read this after each salah shall enter Paradise. Narrated Muhammad bin Sirin: Abu Huraira said, “Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) put me in charge of the Zakat of Ramadan (i.e. Zakat-ul-Fitr). Someone came to me and started scooping some of the foodstuff of (Zakat) with both hands. I caught him and told him that I would take him to Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ).” Then Abu Huraira told the whole narration and added “He (i.e. the thief) said, ‘Whenever you go to your bed, recite the Verse of “Al-Kursi” (2.255) for then a guardian from Allah will be guarding you, and Satan will not approach you till dawn.’ ” On that the Prophet (ﷺ) said, “He told you the truth, though he is a liar, and he (the thief) himself was the Satan.” [Sahih Al Bukhari]

Salam aleikum my brother I think, since you are adressing a very good topic about the increasing your concentration during salaat, its a good thing to remove the background noise so we can concentrate more on what you are saying. Wa aleikum salam warahmatoellah
Asalaamualaikum brother, as Muslims we are family and peace is what we preach, the brother has done a great deal to give us 5 great tips to concentrate on our salah and that should be very much appreciated than trying to look out for the little things in it as mistakes. A lot of people do get inspiration just from the comments we put across so please be mindful of whatever you say as a comment. We need to encourage what these people doing, it takes effort more than what we are just seeing here.

the first three generations of Muslims, that is the generations of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad and his companions, their successors, and the successors of the successors.
Thanks for this info. sorry to say these but the only problem most of the time when I pray in the mosque inside the mall (where i work)I don't get it why some people talking loud or talking on the phone, there phone keep on ringing, the kids are shouting & playing around (well kids are just like that), eating etc. I still try to be far from them because I want to concentrate on my salah, but I really prepared to pray in my home than in the mosque, I feel more comfortable🙇😊
Gems:
1. Learn how to recite the quran properly. reflect on what you are saying in each step.
2. Make sure there are no distractions- turn off mobile phones, focus that you are standing in front of Allah (swt). Know that he hears us and this is our time together.
3. Pray slowly, with love, knowing that Allah is giving you his grace in every step. If this was the LAST opportunity to give Allah praise, you would do it in a manner that is perfect.
4. Pray so slow, that you develop a serenity or peace in each step. Know what surahs you are reciting in each rakah and what rakah you are on.
5. This Salah is what you will be held accountable for on the day of judgement (the FIRST act)
Strive to make our Salah something that we are proud of.
Thnx for summarizing it🙂🙂

I tend to rush my salah. I will begin to have more contentment and pray slowly and justly.
if you do it too fast it may not be accepted
one thing that helps me is to recite surahs that at that time in my life hits home. you tend to recite slowly then. but no doubt, quran in its entirety is beautiful and relateable at every last breath.

7. Some Surah ask for protection : An Nas, Falaq etc get mentally involved
8. Some very well known verses are quoted in the Hadith: recite them in the prayers
a) Ayyatul Qursi b) Last 2-3 para of Surah Al Baqqarah( :2) “ Lillah he ma fiis Samawati ..”

[Sahih Mulsim]
7. Astaghfirullah
(“I seek Allah’s forgiveness”)
Reward:
You will get protection from Allah’s punishment.
[Qur’an 71: 10-12]
8. Ayahtul-Kursi [2:255]
“Allah - there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.”
‘Allahu laaa ‘ilaaha ‘illaa Huu. ‘Al-Hayyul-Qayyuum.
Reward:
When you recite this verse before you go to sleep, Allah sends a guardian to you and no shaytan will come to you until morning.

Watch the Prophets prayer series by Dr. Mohammed Salah on youtube
Why do i feel drowsy during my salah? Is it because i am at peace or shaitaan distracting me??
Sounds like shaytan to me, if you feel at peace you don't feel drowsy, you still feel alert.
Try eating 7 ajwa dates in the morning, it protects you from shayateen
@noora khan where did you get that?

What does salaf mean 2:50
the first three generations of Muslims, that is the generations of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad and his companions, their successors, and the successors of the successors.
Just try to your best to pray at the mosque because it is good for you and if that one mosque that is loud try to pray at a different one Insha Allah.
