All is cool! The atmosphere is only spoiled by a brand new VCR from the early 2000s. Now, if the VCR was from the 80s and black or gray, like the classic JVC models, it would look much more authentic.

I could read a bit of the text on the backside of the vhs. The cat girls names are Miku and Maka. I wonder if that is official or just for the art because I actually wanna know more about these character.
COOL Manga UK style VHS box from the late 90s, even with the Japanese katakana spine though, which sadly we NEVER got in the shops here!! And the Evangelion style script at the end is a nice addition too, though more from the later DVDs, but still goes with the VHS cover art. Look forward to seeing whether the final video will incorporate the HYPER style of the Manga UK trailers from the time (usually all the most violent scenes brutally cut-up with hardcore techno music for some reason), or go for the opposite effect with Evangelion's either sublimally quick shots of text or scenes held uncomfortably long (with barely any motion).

I feel like sooner or later New Retrowave is gonna have the underground come back edm did with electric daisy carnival and similar concerts ❤ I'm not rushing it though because i heard from the original edm fans edm concerts went downhill after it hit peak popularity people were A-holes i guess.
