Problem is it screws owners over too if they simply forget the pin password or email. & that was already thought through by the companies that make the phones. They do it anyways because they then get more sales cause the only option is to buy a new phone. So basically the thief thing they dont care about, thats just a cover up for the real reason behind the pin issues.
