Thanks for the excellent series content! My head canon for these rescues all over the place is a combination of rogue private agencies trying to compete the Kerbal Space Program. And the Kerbals natural demi-anfibious ability to hibernate indefinitely (aka timewarp)

I hope rescues in KSP2 are different. Bringing Kerbals to a base on the surface of Laythe should count as a complete rescue. It is just as nice as Kerbin :P
