This video was more of an experiment of how PS2 recording could look like, Elgato's built in exporter for interlaced content sucks IMO so I use Ffmpeg instead to export / deinterlace the recordings which looks miles better. Anyhow if anyone has the need for some gameplay of the European version of Sly 1 on PS2 this is free to use.
@@johng5261 due to the way my legato outputs the interlaced signal through HDMI to the TV it actually looks better in the recording, UA-cam also made the quality worse apparently from what I can see.
@@johng5261 The TV picture is clearer but got interlace artifacts, the recording with deinterlacing looks better and almost as clear, however UA-cam has a lot of compression artifacts for some reason while the while the file i used for upload looked clearer. So well yes the TV should look better than the recording and the recording would look better if it wasn't for UA-cam.
im here watching this cause well algorithm brought me here but not only do i miss this game being one of the one from my childhood i recently went back to play Sly 2 and its actually kind of a neat touch how the parts you basically hit in the final boss are the same parts ( for the most part) that you steal back during that game

I didn't know if I told you that I appreciate it so much or if I thanked, I haven't seen you there in a while and I missed you. People don't respect enough those who put the time into making gameplay of videos let alone longplays or speedruns. Tt doesn't matter what it is people in general like me and yourself who put hard work into it and do it for free, those who don't do anything or do it for "something greater" aren't the same and those who don't do anything well they most likely don't have the time since they have jobs but there are those friends like yourself and other oldschool gameplay based channels which always put a smile to my face and keep me going and you just did with your comment.;-)
It was fun playing through Sly 1 again and it was a great experiment with my Elgato so it was fun doing it, it's just a question of time and well if it's enjoyable :) Also, you're better now? You've gotten some sleep?
Sly 2 & 3 are more deeper into the Characters & a combat system, but this type of 8 levels (with Boss) in on every Map with optional tressures (bottles & saves) is more my type. I would make a Sly 5 with the same vibe like sly 2 & 3, also free map & combat, healthbars etc. But also many optional levels like sly 1 that are often focused on stealth, but Sometimes also on typical sly scooper enemy Elimination (And someimes bosses awaits you) where you get new goods (special items) at the end. This goods are good for your Base on every map that you can upgrade because the bases can be attacked and you must defend them with NPC allies as guards you can upgrade too. The enemy waves are gigantic compared to sly games circumstances, and they will be harder & different. Sometimes more heavy guards appear, sometimes more helicopters ypu Can shoot of course with turrets that are placed on The Base. This is just the Alpha Version of this Idea.
Just found my PS2 from almost 20 years ago, I'm ordering this tomorrow with Barnyard, Yu-Gi-Oh Capsule Monsters, War of the monsters, Jak & Daxter, Vexx, THUG2, Theme Park World, MGS 2, Crash Wrath Of Cortex & Gauntlet Dark Legacy. Should have a very fun time for a while ☺️!!!!
