I always take my kindle, but I can’t resist taking some physical copies as well 😅 I love to read romance on vacation, especially when the book takes place on a vacation or exotic destination as well. 😊
I do sometimes try to read a book that is set in the actual place I am at that moment…makes for a great check to see if the author did their research 🤣
My all time favorite summer novel is Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury. This semi-autobiographical coming of age novel reminds us all what it is like to be a twelve year old boy growing up in a small midwestern town in 1927. So magical and unforgettable. Best read underneath a tree or by a lake.
I holiday in the autumn to avoid the school holidays, and travel by coach in my own country, I listen to audiobooks while travelling, so it’s too early for me to decide. I’ve just gotten rid of Freakonmics in a de-clutter, which I couldn’t get on with. Death on the Nile is brilliant narrated by Hugh Fraser (Captain Hastings in the David Suchet incarnation of Poirot), but in my minds eye I think of Peter Ustinov film!
What are your sumer plans? Do you have a summer TBR? An ideal literary travel companion? Let me know down below and we'll talk summer reads some more!

Great recommendations as always! Thank you! Let the summer begin! 🥳
Thank you and I could really do with some sun tbh
Perfect timing! I'm going on holiday this weekend and was just looking for a book to take with me.
Have a good one, where are you headed?

Again 1927…that truly must have been a special year 😄
This is one of my favorites! It reminds me of my childhood.

I had the same audiobook: it was the ideal voice for me 😋
I try to read a long novel every summer. This year I am considering "The Good Soldier Švejk" by Jaroslav Hašek.
I should follow suit because I havn’t read that one myself yet
Definately going to read death on the nile !sounds intresting 🙌🏼
It’s a great choice!
Can I recommend "The Darling Buds of May" series of books and also "A Room With A View"
Both are good recommendations 🥰
My TBR is becoming unmanageable because of you and this is the furthest thing from a complaint😅😂😂🎉
