Hi Steve. Long time listener, first time caller. 😉 I have the green ODR-C and love it. How much does this differ? It’s tough to tell from a YT video. I like the idea of more lower gain options but am still a bit unclear on the Germanium diodes. To my ears they seem to bring out a bit more “chewyness” if you get my drift. What’s your experience with both through a Fender type clean platform? I truly appreciate any insight you can offer. Thanks Man.
Hi Steve, I love your reviews, thanks so much!!! I have ordered ODR-CS. Wanted to know how would you describe the difference between the classic ODR-C to the ODR-CS and which one do you prefer?
Hard to say which i prefer. Theyre both great at what they do. CS has more options with the 3 band eq and germanium. But regular one is just that classic sound
Cool video, thanks Steve. As soon as Kai's pedals are available again, I'll buy this latest Nordland ODR-CS version. (*Kai has been in the hospital since July 10, 2023, he writes on his website and it may be a while before he can produce again.*) Currently I use the Belle from Wampler and 2 Duke of Tone MXR (in the boost position for maximum dynamics) pedals for my overdrive and lead sound. That works great!
Too funny! That's exactly what I'm using at the moment. I set the Belle for a slightly dirty tone (think for those low dirty rhythm classic rock tones) and then hit it with a clean boost from a Prince of Tone or Vemuram Budi-G for solos. I'll use other pedals for that hard rock hot-rodded Plexi tone, but these work for the other songs we do.
@@SteveSterlacci I hope he will. I have had the ODR in one form or the other since it came out. I settled on ODR-CC+, and it would be lit having the new one in a similar package
Can you get the sound of the original odr-c out of the cs? I want it only one, but don’t know which is better for low gain (John mayer-ish) all the way to classic hard rock (Paul Kossoff-ish)

Sounds great. Reminds me a little of the Hudson Broadcast.
Its a sweet lil thang
I have one on the way from Hamburg. I hope it's good. 🙃 I have an ODR-C, but I couldn't resist the new one. 🙂 I love germanium transistors. 🥰
You're gonna love it!
Sound great. Will be nice when he has them in stock.
Should be within a week or 2 tops. Keep an eye on his newsletter

Kai makes the best Od pedals ever. i recently got an anniversary ODRC - looks like i might have to put a few pennies aside for this one too.
Agreed!
the Germanium also sounds a bit glassier
You need to A/B this with the 30th anniv steve!
different sounds! both cover so much ground but I think this ones more diverse
GREAT DESIGN!!!
Kai is the best!
Isn't that the same diode is the first tube screamers? Thanks Steve😊
Maybe. I would have to ask kai
Clicks the link to the website to buy one...ANNNND, THERE GONE! ;)
Kai has plenty of components. they'll be back soon 😅
They sold out yesterday! didn’t last long, he will have more up soon, you just need to keep checking or email Kai, he’s friendly
There are 2 in stock currently
@@SteveSterlacci was able to snag one this morning. Thanks again for a great video that cost me $275 ;)
@@SeanAllocca nice!!! Enjoy it 😄
That would be silicon not silicone Steve
Tomato potato 🫣
Great demo! Looks like I’ll be buying another Nordland pedal.
This one really covers so much ground! Really digging it
Perfect tele sound imho, but I can get a firefly tele cheaper than this pedal ..... 238 Euro is lot of money .... But sound is def good.
Sometimes quality warrants the price!

Would you recommend the ODR-C/CC+ over the ODR-CS depending on what type of amp and/or guitar you use? Thanks!
I will be 100% getting this. I am just going to wait for the smaller, CC-sized version, which I hope is coming soon
I haven't heard a rumor of that yet!

They both are capable of that in different ways. Totally different circuits
