Partied with them on my birthday 1992 at the Outback in Zanesville Ohio. They took me backstage and we all did shots during their mid break of the concert. It was a memorable experience and my best birthday ever!
Wow, central Ohio in back then could be a wild ride. We called them "green slimes", ate and smoked the ludes (icing on the cake/bong with the powder on top that could knock you out). Whoa, the memories coming back, like the comment from Robert Tolbert below,,, lots of things to keep entertained with. Doing the monkey walk on the tea, and of course my favorite friend of all Sid. Shit, just writing this comment I'm feeling a funny quiver up my spine. Rock and Roll.
The first time I saw The Godz was in 1977 in Pikeville, KY. They did 2 shows that night at Pikeville College's Faith Chapel. I saw both shows. During the last show, Eric, who had been drinking liquor throughout the show, held up a RORER 714, and popped it. The band started playing 714. Toward the end of the show, he had quite the buzz. The party continued that night at The Landmark Inn. Both shows were great. Not sure if he used his Mastercharge that night. :)
If two's good, four's better. If two gets you fucked up, four'll get you fucked upper. Drink 'em down with warm Dad's root beer. It helps the pill break apart quicker in your stomach, so you get fucked up faster. Yep. We used to smash them and smoke them on top of a bowl of reefer too. Tasted like shit, but got you high.
Double M Lemmon's ! And the Rorer - Mind erasers ! So many times waking up the next day, not a dam clue how you got to where you are, and who the hell was laying next to you.
@@davedicks5815 Got half my front tooth broken off in a fight on my 18th birthday. Two ludes and about 3/4 of a fifth of the bird. I didn't even know the guy landed a punch until my I ran into my brother a few hours later and he asked me what happened to my tooth. Sure felt it when I woke up with the never exposed. Crazy days back in central Ohio. Like he said before playing the song, not really sure how I lived through them,,, well come to think of it there were a few that didn't and some of that was because of the ludes and driving.
Me and my buddy drove from Pittsburgh to Hammerjack's in Youngstown, with an Iron City Pumper (plastic 1/4 keg) in the back of a 69 Chevy pickup with a moving blanket over it and the hose running in thru the back slide window, to see these dudes play live. We smoked a joint with them in the parking lot while one of the warmup bands was playing. I puked on the bar that night, and not only did nobody kick my ass, Eric Moore bought me a double Jim Beam to wash the puke taste out of my mouth. It was well worth the drive. I have no idea how the fuck we made it home that morning without becoming a DUI statistic, but we survived the trip, no new dents. That must've been about 90, 91 maybe... Was before I met my ex wife... I was still a wildman.
CrazyBear65 seen them in 78. Moore ate Quaalude on the stage. We was passing joints back and forth. Zanesville Ohio. They rocked this town for many years. Often playing my buddy's 4th of July party. Think it was their 2nd album they were touring, and stopped in to play at a little bar in Mesa Arizona. Don't know who was more shocked, them or the Zanesville croud that had moved there just a few years back. They couldn't believe these old hippies knew their songs almost 2,000 miles from home. Closed the bar and partied all night.
sorry CrazyBear65...puking on the bar is not only bush league, it is disrespectful to your fellow patrons. Eric Moore bought you a shot because he is NOT cool. and if you come to my town with a name like yours, I am sure we can find you another Iron city Pumper with the hose running in the back slide
I must say the godz have always been underrated. And being on Casablanca records & tapes they would have been bigger than kiss. It's funny how this van really kicked ass and kiss was wimps
Keep dreaming because they couldn't be roadies for Kiss. The Godz had a minor hit and one album. They were a bar band and always were an opening band for anyone big. Kiss would laugh at that shit😂
The godz and black leather touch ! Columbus Ohio , if you could walk out the door without stumbling !You didn't have a good time ! 714s will spread the legs of a beautiful girl ! But you wake up with a Sasquatch ! Lol
Used to see them at the Alrosa Villa ... those were the days ... then the ex-cowgirls from hell brought in a disturbed piece of trash that forever ruined the vibe of a great club.
This was Bub Adams on bass and vocals, one of the best actually. At this juncture Eric was on vocals and rhythm guitar, and he and Bub would alternate singing some of the songs but Eric still sang 80% of them.
What a waste case and how he brags about his drug and alcohol abuse. Nice job because it cut your life short, and basically, you had one album in the beginning of your career that produced one minor hit. A glorified bar and rib festival band
The Godz R A Rock and Roll Machines 🤘🤘

The GODZ were always big, small town ohio to arena's everywhere. and still remain so even today

Nice to see Marc and Eric still playing together... Saw them many times at the Agora.

My first concert was The Godz opening for Triumph in the late 70s. Awesome show. Crowd was so fired up there was a riot after the show.

Quaaludes were big back in the 70's. The biggest manufacturer was Rorer. Rorer ludes had 714 stamped on the pill.

Tiny Tim was better!
Why do these guys look so raggidy and alley nasty? Bad representation to anther country. Must be future skid-row, I mean current skid- row members.
