For the ASH-12 being a terrible weapon for penetration, do you think in future updates maybe it will get AP ammo down the line or would that be too strong for the amount of power it brings to the table? Just food for thought since, there are lots of cool .50 Cal rounds... Like the Raufoss shot. ;'D Maybe Nikita would like this idea?

Its a visual glitch they weren’t actually found in raid and the tag disappeared when he extracted

Ash 12 cant be bad it has. 102 body dmg and pens 6 6 6 6 5 4. It has high flesh dmg of 102 30% fragmentation chance. It struggles vs lvl 6 armor a little bit the rest is pretty much a one tab to the chest
i dont know i really love this gun so much... its just so good and underrated.

I'll def rock it a lot after the wipe, i use it every now and then just because of the sound of the shells dropping but it doesn't perform well in the meta rn...

I love the ash-12. It may not be good compared to meta guns but it is one of the funnest guns

Doesnt the ASh-12 have high blunt damage though? Its purpose is to kind of negate armor all together with high energy. Just like .500 Beo
yeah, just off the top of my head it can probably 3 to 4 shot someone using a slick
@@Stonemask5 it takes 3 to 5 shots to pen, and the round that does pen 1 shots, to the head the only helmets that can stop it are the Altyn (whole head) Vulkan, (anything but the face), and others that are 5+

@@Stratigoz Looking it up the 12.7x55 shell casing is 60g and the .50 BMG is 55g, they're practically identical

Comparing the ASH-12 with meta guns is like comparing the GAU-8 with a ICBM, the ICBM can deliver more destruction way more effective everywhere and no doubt... looking at a ICBM they are THICC but lets be honest... the GAU-8 is just so much cooler compared to any other gun out there...

I have only used this gun a few time and I was using the best ammo for it and had a round bounce of a guys helmet three times. After that I sold it because for the weight it just does not perform.

it has higher pen than SPP and does WAY higher damage. its just that comparitively the recoil for the gun sucks
Its a cqb oriented gun and its only major weaknesses are ranged capability and recoil. Its a niche ass gun and thats how it should be.

Why does everyone fire off 2 rounds and reload? I can't be the only one that reloads on empty or almost empty, right?
a few reasons. why shoot 27 shots if you can shoot 30? also it’s easier to top off 3 mags that’s missing 4 shots each than 1 mag that’s completely empty basically.
How can you even walk with 114kg of equipment???
114kg of equipment is not that much, remember he is not going to walk for 50-100 km, its like 1km max of walking around, so it is fairly easy to do it with 114kg on your back, if you have enough muscles that is.

IR searchlight, increases hipfire accuracy. All of the lights and lasers do it. The searchlight just does it in a more subtle way than the other options.

I stopped using the ASH-12 last night when i nailed a guy with a slick in the torso twice with ps12b and only did 10 health damage.

I think it should do crazy armor damage. So if he has a slick on he might survive the first 1-2 shots but after that he's dead

dirty floors, everyone running and gunning, lots of powder on the ground, also the metal dust and fragments from bullets everywhere on the floor, yes we can't see them, because it would be a fucking nightmare to model and to run something like that in tarkov.
