*Yes, it's a HUGE DAY! I wasn't planning on 6 bets, but I love the slate today!
⚾️ Bet #3: Austin Gomber (COL) Over 16.5 Outs Recorded (-130 on FD) *1 Unit... Gomber has been surprisingly really good lately going 6+ Innings in 4 straight starts. We only need 5.2 Innings here, but I think he goes 6. He has only given up 17 hits and 5 ER's in his last 25.2 Innings. 4 of those 5 ER's was in 1 start vs Houston. He has been good at and away from Coors field, which isn't easy to do. His ERA is 2.86 on the road. The A's are a bottom 5 team vs Lefties this season. In a pitchers ball park, I see no reason why he cant go 5.2 innings yet again. I like at 17.5 outs too.
⚾Bet #4: Michael King (Padres) Over 5.5 K's (-135 on ESPN Bet) *1 UNIT.... I gave this out last night as a Lean in the video last night when it was -125. It has moved to -150 or higher on some books. The Reds have the 3rd Highest K-Rate vs RHP and King has looked solid the last 2 starts with 18 total K's! Reds have guys up and down the lineup with high K numbers. King has not been quite as solid on the road, but 5.5 is too low in my opinion. I think he can get 6+ K's in a great matchup. Also, the Reds have really struggled hitting RHP, which means King should be able to go pretty deep into this game and give himself a lot of opportunities for K's.
⚾Bet #5: Max Fried (Braves) Over 16.5 Outs & Nick Nastrini (White Sox) "NO" To Record a Win (+100 on DK) *1 UNIT.... Fried is at 17.5 Outs on FD and still juiced to the Over. I think Fried goes 6+ Innings in this one. Fried has been really good at limiting hard contact (Except for last start) and also inducing groundballs. He is in the Top 3% of each of those stats. This guy is an innings eater and 100 pitches is common for him lately. The Braves absolutely need him to go deep as the Braves bullpen is tired right now from 3 games in the last 2 days. I have talked about it before, but the Cubs have been struggling lately, especially vs LHP. They are 22nd in WRC+, 17th in On Base %. The Cubs have seen the 9th FEWEST Pitches this season and have the 10th Highest 1st Pitch Swing Rate. Other than his bad start last time out, he had pitched 6+ Innings in 5 of the 6 previous starts (Including 2 starts with 7 innings and 1 with a complete game 9 inning performance). I like Fried to bounce back today and all we need is 2 outs in the 6th.... This 2nd leg is a -600 leg to just reduce the odds honestly. Nastrini has yet to get a win in the Majors (Only 2 starts though). He went 5 innings and 3 innings in his 2 starts. There is a high chance he doesn't even go 5 innings in this game. He has been very hittable with his 7.88 ERA and also has not had good command with 7 walks. The Blue Jays just got shut down by Crochet yesterday and I expect them to win this game. So many ways for Nastrini to not get the win today. Let's get a pitcher prop parlay winner!
⚾Bet #6: Freddy Peralta (Brewers) Under 6.5 K's (-110 on DK) *1 UNIT.... Today could go VERY GOOD or VERY BAD. I wanted to cut back, but I have to take advantage and shoot my shot when we have a slate that I love. Yes, fading Peralta under K's is always risky, but this Marlins team has not only been really good offensively lately, but they also limit strike outs. Let's just see what some recent good strikeout pitchers have done against them lately... Zack Wheeler (3 K's & 2 K's in 2 starts), Severino (3 K's), Christian Scott (3 K's), Yamamoto (5 K's) and the list goes on. The Marlins K-Rate this month is only at 20.7%, which is the 11th fewest... even against some really good K pitchers. That rate goes down to 18.6% at Home for Miami. On top of that, Peralta has gone under this 6.5 line in 3 of the last 5 starts, so it's not like he is crushing this. The most K's he has had since April 12th was 8. I love the value with this 6.5 number. Finally, the Marlins also happen to be swinging a hot bat right now. In the month of May, they have 3rd Best Batting Average and #1 On Base % vs RHP!! That is wild stuff. They also have a Walk-Rate of 9.9%, which is good for 11th vs RHP this month. All signs point to Peralta going under 6.5 K's in this one.... and nothing bad ever happens when all the research says to take a bet, right? 🤣
