Cayla claims no upper body strength, but she smoked me, and I believe Kolton also at a rock climbing wall compete thing at a boardwalk in Destin, FL. This old man was not happy about it. Competed against her twice and lost both times.
When do they leave the Spanish speaking countries? Seems almost too easy for those who speak the language which is not fair. Really hope for a surprise winner! This season is getting too predictable 😮
Ricky and Cesar clearly have an unfair advantage. On a regular season of the Amazing Race, the language barrier affects everyone at some point in the race. This season, every country they're visiting speaks Spanish. So clearly, Spanish-speaking teams have a leg up on the competition and it makes this season so hard to watch for me. I constantly find myself rooting for everyone else but them and being disappointed when they win. This isn't a good season.
I don't necessarily think it's unfair, and we can't fault a team for knowing the language. It's just how the cards were dealt for this season, being a predominately Latin American season, ya know? However, as a former racer I do recognize that being fluent of a language on the race can definitely give you an edge with confidence going into a leg because you're able to read, understand and speak it.
@itswillandjames I agree. Maybe my use of the word "unfair" is wrong here. However, I'm Latin American myself and have traveled to four different continents. I can confidently say that the challenges I faced in countries with a language barrier were far superior to any minor challenges I've faced in Latin America. So, for me personally, them winning feels somewhat less exciting.
Juan's first language was Spanish and he's fluent, Vinny took Spanish in high school and college, Yvonne's first language was Spanish, Danny went to college in one of the countries they went to, maya and Rohan had one learn Spanish and the other French, and Mary spoke some Spanish on the show as well. So, more people spoke Spanish then not and at least three teams had one fluent speaker.
I'M DYING FOR ANOTHER ALL STAR SEASON. THOSE ARE ALWAYS SO FUN TO WATCH!
I feel like the show is due for one!! it's only a matter of time
omg I can't believed I missed the live stream
You were missed! Next time!

There's only one non-speaking nation in Barbados
