Here's my 6 dunks from the first season of The Dunk King!

its that very reason of I had never seen that dunk(s) in my life part, nothing to compare it to to score fairly. sure hype and amazement and technique are there, but with literally nothing else to compare to its reasonable to say they couldn't give him more points.

great series of dunks... was robbed by the judges, who gave Maberry high scores for the exact same dunk over and over, and also gave high scores to gimmicky prop dunks (jump over ping pong table / car / motorcycle / etc.).

At 1:29, that approach is exactly like the approach used in volleyball when spiking. The big arm-swing, the two-footed take-off... It's a great way to achieve this kind of elevation. I played men's volleyball for years, and some of the best leapers in the world are in that sport. Funny thing is, he's not even getting the full benefit of the arm-swing since he has to abbreviate it to reach down for the ball. Wow.
omnipop he actually played volleyball. check out one of the interviews on UA-cam. The actually had to teach him how to jump higher.
that approach is for a left hand volleyballer dude... he's right handed. even harder.

jordan won because everything about his last dunk was inovative and impressive. he not only had bounce but he did something never done by any other human and I dont think another human can do this for some time. the other two guys were good but any other dunker with a 45 inch bounce which is many in the world including me could replicate it easy next day. no disrespect to 5, 5 short man you a beast with the best vertical leap I have ever seen. I honestly think he has a 60 inch vertical leap.

as high as him. I'm sure there are others. grats in your 45" vert though... I can only flush rim rattlers with one hand, I've never been able to actually dunk. I think I'd have to get too skinny while doing jump squats and using training boots for 2 years just to do simple dunks.

People in the comments saying that this proves that skin color doesn't matter when it comes to jumping are so cute. Jordan is unique, he's an exception. If you take an avarage white guy and an avarage black guy and see how they jump, the white guyis going to lose in 90+% scenarios. So in this case skin color does matter.

hahaha, he might be a high flyer, but once he is on nba. 7 footer guys will just swallow him alive. And he needs to work on his, dribble, defense, passing, focus, shooting and etc. Not just dunking.

Jordan, first of all this is amazing, I used to dunk like that. But only in my dreams when I was 18 lol. What is your max vertical? Based on the fact that I've seen your head going over the rim in a another video and given that there you also had to think about the coordination, I'd guess you could do about 52-53 inches just trying to get as high as possible. Is that about right?

All of the contestants showed just why they should have been in the contest. But without a doubt, Kilganon should have won the title. I am now a huge fan. It was a mark of true disrespect for him that the judges should place him last in the contest! It just shows their degree of pettiness when he had the most awe inspiring dunks of the night as reflected in the multiple perfect scores he had received during the night and witnessed by millions across the world. And unlike most of the other contestants in all of his previous dunks regardless of the high level of difficulty, he nailed them on the very first try. One contestant, Worm, even missed 2 of his previous attempts on a dunk with much less difficulty and the judges still placed him ahead of Kilagonon. HOW IN THE WORLD IS THAT POSSIBLE? It was only after Kilgonon challenged the judges about their lack of understanding and appreciation for the art form and its creativity that they chose to disrespect him in such a cowardly manner. The winner, though he was good, in no way should have won. Afterall, he was actually ELIMINATED earlier because he had missed BOTH of his attempts in an earlier round only to be saved and brought back into the competition. In the ENTIRE competition Kilagon missed only 1 attempt and that was an attempt at the uncontested most difficult dunk of the night. And by the way, he completed that dunk on the second attempt. In the end, this will work to Kilganon's advantage as the tape of this show is shown throughout the sporting world/movie industry/and advertising media and he is rightfully rewarded for his artistry. Then shame will be heaped upon those who stooped so low in their petty judgment and determination to publicly humiliate him... because they had the power to do so....this time.
But Jordan is too talented not to continue to soar...so watch for him!

Ronald Mendoza playing basketball and dunking are two different things and he's also not trying to dunk on someone who's 7 foot tall standing in front of him trying to defend doing trick shots is one thing but actually playing against competition who are super athletes as well is a whole nother story.

Tho MJ was a big leaper in his prime, this kid is definitely a better dunker.
MJ was never the most flashy dunker outside of the dunk contests he competed in. By MJ’s own admission, Scotty was a better ambidextrous dunker than him...especially with the left hand. During games he was usually very minimalist with his dunks while his layup creativity and mid air maneuvering took center stage IMO. He usually went around, under, over defenders with his creativity and finesse rather than go over them with power and height. In fact, during games MJ never leaped any higher than was necessary to finish a play and/or draw a foul. In those day,s it was a serious health risk to tryin leap over and into bigs camping in the paint (no defensive 3 seconds rule). Especially for a guy who was 6’6 and weighed only 195lbs to 205lbs.
