95W TGP on RTX 3060 is considered mid range. Most powerful laptops can go up to 140W in boost mode for shorter periods of time until it overheats (boost mode usually adds +25W so in general use GPU should hit at least 115W). Usually if you have charger below 200W in laptop you can know that you have weaker version.
20W difference in normal mode and 45W in boost should give in average above at least 10% performance gain.
PS. Also I heard that RTX 3060m with 130W+ can outperform weakest RTX 3080m models.

My experience with the only two acer laptops I've ever had in the family(new ones, post-ryzen era):
There's a chassis-intrusion-switch on the motherboard that goes faulty easily. Cleaning it doesn't seem to fix it. Makes the acer laptop auto hard-shutdown after a few seconds.
Had to mail back both laptops when they eventually messed up and wait a loong time to get both back. But yeah, they're fun laptops when they work and ours are still in service and it's about to be 2023.
I just like pointing out annoyances that are seemingly resistant to being 'fixed at home'

I currently have a Nitro with a 17" 144hz display, GTX 95w 3060, and a Ryzen 5800. I bought it a year and a half ago or so - and it was a great price for the specs(I paid ~1200 for it.) It feels a bit cheap in some aspects (it was cheap...) but it is understated, not flashy, and performs very well. It was a much better value for the money than the laptop it replaced (Dell G7.) It is the second Acer I have owned, the previous being an ancient Acer V5 Aspire which is a 12" touchscreen laptop that is at least 80-10 years old at this point (and still works....)

I bought the Acer Predator Helios 300 back in 2020 and its held up pretty well. It had the same plastic and metal fan configuration and the metal fan got off balance and started making a horrible grinding noise so I replaced it with a fan from Amazon around $30 for 2 fans. So if the other one goes I already have a replacement. I just bought a bunch of upgrades for it, a 2.5" SSD, an extra NVM.e it had 2 slots and one was empty and upping the ram from 16GB to 64GB. I definitely like that it was so upgradeable with all the upgrades and the replacement fan it puts around the $1800 range.

3:23 FINALLY SOMEONE GETS IT! 1600p is NOT 2.5k like they advertise, heck 1440p isn't remotely 2k, it's either called QHD or... Guess what-2.5k! 1600p is 3k! 1080p is vertically 2K... Which would make 720/768p 1k? Yeah, actually. 1k, 2k, 4k, etc is followed by halves of each others resolution, not by the number on the first of 4 digits. Why do you think they call 2160p 4k? Companies that make drawing pads need to replace their branded system of lying 2.5k into 2k and 3k as 2.5k. I only forgive this because they do usually mention the specific resolution the device they're selling is.

So if you were visiting the US and bought it, took it back to your home country and it broke, tough luck! You have to send it back to the US like any laptop without international warranty. Some people are saying it depends on the service center as some don't ask and some do.

UGREEN only sell one USB PD 3.1 device, and it's a pretty shitty 140W shared across all 3 ports (one USB-A, two USB-C) device, so... Not good enough for this laptop to begin with, and the output is shared making it worse. Sadly UGREENs offering kinda seems like the best of a bad bunch. "cos you currently cannot do that through USB type C" with the caveat is sadly true enough.

I've just bought the Predator helios 300 with an i9-11900H and a 3070, the laptop is a beast of a machine for the money. My only complaint is the 3200 ram, it comes with 16GB out of the box which is adequate but needs upgrading and task manager says there are 8 slots on the board for some reason (there are only 2). The Helios, 17.3" version, cost a touch over GB£1200, this is the same as my GL702VM cost 5 years ago, which is a good price and leaves a little bit for a ram upgrade and maybe some extra storage further down the line. Excellent value for money though!!!!

Hi, this is secret agent from Acer. To change the post logo, you will need to keep the "POST & Animation" option as "enabled" in BIOS setup. Once you disable "POST & Animation", the customized logo will return to default. So, if you keep the setting disabled, you wll not see the customized logo you replaced. Let me know if it works.

I suspect the choice of laptops to review/buy right now might be fairly average. It also could be a marketing experiment to see how discerning we are, when a little Short Circuit spin is added to a product. I also suspect they are looking for price competitive products to review.

As you can see he just unboxed it and played around with it a little bit. This channel is for shorter videos with less editing that are fast to make. No research and testing go into those. The actual reviews are longer, on the main channel and only on certain products. EVs get reviews here I believe.

My experience with acer involved the GPU failing a month outside of warranty and Acer declining to do anything. Nevermind the fact it failed 13 months after I bought it, but Acer wouldn't even offer to repair it if I paid. I've owned other computers in the past and warranty was honored as much as three months outside of warranty. That said I won't be buying another Acer product because of I don't expect it to last longer than a year.. while I still have a laptop from 2008 that still works...

I've said my experience with Acer my own separate comment. To sum it up, multiple laptops in my household (at least 5) needed to be repaired/dumped due to major hardware issues almost all within 3 years.
This is just their low-end to mid-range series though ($300-$1000), so I'm guessing the high-end stuff is better built.
It could also be different for each country, since they make specific variants for different countries (same models have significantly different specs depending on country).

My 3070Ti, i7 spec stays at about 85⁰ CPU and 75⁰C GPU under the worst loads. It actually hits its wattage limits instead of thermal throttling. The only laptop thats even in the same ballpark is my Legion. Do not buy Alienware laptops they are TRASH.

My opinion on the fingerprint placement: Placing the fingerprint reader at/in the trackpad provides way better UX and reachability than placing it in the power button where it provides only better looks/aesthetics. Obviously, this is for people with more use of the fingerprint than just logging-in one time.
Happens a lot of times that I've to reach to my Macbook's fingerprint when I keep it on the laptop stand but doesn't happen with my Acer for same.
