    This was the strongest hurricane ever recorded. The highest recorded winds in this storm were 215 mph. This storm should’ve been called super hurricane Patricia because of its intensity

      And what was also so impressive was that it went from a tropical storm to a category 5 with those sustained winds in less than 24 hours. That’s an anomaly!

    Patricia was a record breaking hurricane, no typhoon, hurricane or cyclone can compare to the wind speeds of Patricia. Literally it came out of nowhere and became a cat5 hurricane in less than 24 hrs. Even the scientists are puzzled, it just doesn't make any sense at all. Stay Strong Mexico.

      No... We know everything about the formation and dissipation of the storm.
      Exceptional environmental conditions lead to rapid deepening/intensification of the storm.

      +von volts Patricia was a record breaking hurricane on ocean, but it weakened to a high end Cat 3 when it made landfall. Typhoon Haiyan still holds the title for the strongest typhoon during landfall. And also the most destructive one.

    • @brolymeng7946
      @brolymeng7946 Місяць тому

      Patricia (2015) and Nancy (1961) both reached 215mph, but because Patricia has a very low pressure officially at 872mb, while Nancy's pressure officially I think 888mb and thus Patricia takes the title for being the strongest tropical cyclone ever recorded globally despite being tied with windspeed (1-minute sustained winds).
      Also for Tip and Haiyan I think both reaches 200mph+ if they didn't underestimated them. Tip is probably a bit underestimated by the official's, while Haiyan is due to no recon analysis

    Katrina and Sandy was weak but we don't know that Hurricane Patricia is stronger and Typhoon Haiyan is strongest
    Try to Compare Winds
    Patricia:200 mph.The Most Lowest pressure ever recorded
    Haiyan:195 or 196.Almost the low as Patricia
    And Why Jimena and Ignacio and Kilo is strong they are category 4 and Category 1.
    Olaf is close to Patricia.

      Cassio Speaks Patricia formed as the most powerful Hurricane but by the time it hit land, Patricia was a weak Tropical Storm. The media blew it out of proportion. Sandy flooded streets and subways and knocked out New York's power. If you look at the footage not provided by the news Patricia barley did a thing.

      I can clearly see that. They are covering the hurricane in Mexico not in the Us. Therefore, how are the tourist relevant they are not from there, they do not know the damage this hurricane is going to have on the cities. Especially if they are fleeing to safety meanwhile the hurricane is damaging peoples homes, businesses, and cities. These beach cities are poor cities. Mexico is not a first world country, the damage it has had on my people is relevant. You do not know how hard it is going to be for them to get back on their feet. The tourist are gone they are safe, they didn't see the hurricane, what about the people that did see it? It would make more sense to cover the people of Mexico rather than the tourist were fleeing before they could experience the hurricane.

ABC is an American news channel, they prioritise American and American tourists first in occasions like this. Don't expect some sort of good oversea/border news coverage from channels like ABC.
