We bought our double wide brand new in 2013 and after watching videos of older ones being remodeled, I told my husband that I want to start buying them and doing redos. The older one's just seem to have so much room.
For anyone watching, always check the temperature of cords (of space heaters). If they feel hot after the heater has been running a while, the heater should not be used. It's always better to run them on medium or low -- instead of high -- for long periods of time. Remember that smoke detectors only cost $5 or so. Fire extinguishers are only $25 or so. SAFETY FIRST.
Thanks so much for sharing your space! It’s nice to see how other people utilize their home. Mobile homes have so much to offer and you’ve made yours lovely ❤️
Cathy, I have a question? Why do you have the heaters in the living room and you have a fireplace? I might have a suggestion for your kitchen table. Pull the table out and put a small bench back there. Would be adorable. Lovely home! 🙏♥️
I loveeeeee your home! The bookcases are fine in my opinion; just the right amount of pretty things to display without looking junkie. Your home is so nice and cozy. I will be purchasing a Mobil home in about a month and I needed this inspiration. Thanks so much!🥰
Wow I live about 30 min outaide of lancaster love the tour I also have a double wide always changing up decor with the seasons love your title of the video very real life!
Hi Cathy, this is a lovely home. I love your style!! 🤍 My husband and I are looking into getting our own mobile home soon. I was wondering if you had any tips for paining the walls? The one we saw has textured/shinny walls. not sure if you know what i mean but hopefully you do. I was just wondering if i can use normal house paint or needs to be something specific?
New subscriber! Love your decor. What do you do when under tornado or other bad weather warnings? What would you take? Where would you go?We lived in a nice single wide rental when we first married in 1973, but never thought about what we’d do in case of weather that threatened to blow our home away! I’d love to hear your plan.
Thank you!!! Our plan is to go in the little hallway by our kids bathroom. I am very concerned about bad weather so this was definitely something we talked about when we decided to buy a mobile home. Thankfully it is very rare for us to get tornadoes here so we’ve only had to worry about it once or twice. We also have family close by so we can go to their houses if needed.
@@theeverymom IMHO, I would locate some kind of storm shelter nearby (school?) ahead of time, so you know of a safe place to go. Mobile homes are notorious for being badly damaged in bad storms. I wish you well and hope you won’t have any bad storms in your area. 🙏🏻

Thank you so much! That’s exactly what I’m hoping show. I want to break down the stigma that comes with living in a mobile home!
I would definitely make the dining room back to a dining room
Beautiful home! You decor is absolutely gorgeous! And a very spacious double wide! Great job!😊
Cathy I enjoyed your home tour it’s very nice and cozy and new friend here and hope we can connect. Thanks for sharing

The Lasko ceramic heater would produce more heat than the quartz heater (fireplace).
It is beautiful

So perfect so beautiful
Thank you! ❤️
We are a family of 6 in a 1440 sqft double wide but we live on almost 5 acres. Trying to find a place to store stuff can be hard at times.
Nice to see a beautiful functional house that doesn’t look unreasonable to obtain. Thanks for sharing xoxo ❤❤
Thanks for sharing your tour. The panel / door on the front of the heater space is for access in case the unit needs to be worked on.
Such a beautiful home
Cocalico Creek is in my area. I love that store!

When you told your Alexa to turn on the star, my Alexa started playing Michael Jackson 😂😂😂 (Man in the Mirror)
Your home is so gorgeous! I snagged the same fireplace from Amazon and I love it!! It’s been so cozy this winter!
LOVE the fireplace too. Very nice, glad you're enjoying it.

Lovely video, but you didn’t show your master?
You’re the first one who pronounced Lancaster correctly. Do you live there? 😀
Haha I live about an hour away!
