Бывает! Этот олень разобрал выключатель и содрал наждачкой всё серебро!!! Такие вещи нужно чистить ластиком или бумагой смоченной бензином или контактклинером, спиртом и нельзя ВДэшкой

I think this is hands down the most intricate work you have ever done on a stereo/ boombox/ ghetto blaster.
Amazing to watch you going through most smallest of things and bringing the original shine🔥.
Only thing I would have loved to seen is to test wow and flutter on the cassette mechanisms after the belt change. But it's a bit of over the top perfection.

Muy Buena la reparacion. Un consejo adicional. Si quieres que la reparacion en lo electronico sea efectivo deberias de reemplazar los capacitores electroliticos. Estos tienden a secarse o reventarse. Yo he restaruado grabadoras, estereos y es muy efectivo hacerlo. Mejoras mucho el rendimiento cuando tienes aparatos que ya son algo vintage.
Otro consejo. No es recomendable lijar las laminas en los interuptores porque tiendes a lastimar la superficie de las laminitas en los interuptores. Te sugiero que sumerjas los interruptores en liquido para limpiar joyeria como plata. A mi me ha funcionado bastante bien.

Have you considered investing in a simple nickel-plating kit to protect the switches and contacts? You use abrasive papers to clean them which only makes them more vulnerable in future...

A trje genuine restoration. No starting off with hand covering with mud and leaving to dry then putting it in a field or river to find 5 mins later as 'an accidental find'. A true complete strip down an d rebuild. Even the switched get a good decent restoraion. Well done.

Todo bien solo cuando graben el video desháganse de esas gallinas es de muy mal gusto que se graben sus cacareos y de más ruidos peros voces etc etc ojo O de plano graben sin sonido y editen ? Solo con la música??????
Use a cleaning fluid to clean the contacts. The sandpaper wears away the copper layer and the contacts begin to corrode faster. Use technical petroleum jelly after cleaning

Notice how he never does a test or assestment on the unit before he disassembles it,and notice how clean the main componits are compared to the face plate,that much dirt...the insides would have attracted it,electricty attacts dust like a magnet...no traces of insects,no worn wiring...makes me think that this was never in need of repair...

Growing up, there was a tv/hi-fi repair shop at the top our our road. But he wouldn't touch anything like that. I know why now.
Nice restoration, but what about that rust on metal parts? Especially on tape parts... I do think that it needs more work than this...
