I actually only used stock bushings from Blackriver and Ytrucks for the first several years of my fingerboarding. Got back into fingerboarding last year and began trying bushings from Teak Tuning. Love them! I agree that bushings are important. I will still use stock bushings for a while when the setup is new but then later I'll get some fresh ones from a third party company. I will replace them immediately though if I need a specific color when I have a new setup. I recently ordered my first Level Up Beta Bushings, and Elastico BRT pivot cups. I will soon order some of the OG Dislocation BRT pivot cups as well! Not enough companies / brands offer a replacement for BRT pivot cups! Only those two that I know of. I will also order some South Soft bushings soon because my local fingerboard shop is getting their own custom colour! So excited about this!
Yeah, I definitely need some new pivot cups. I know chubby muffin made a video about Zane shit making some but never saw them on the site. How’re the Elastico and Dislocation ones?
I definitely see how this effects everything. I have used cheap rings for awhile and they don't have the bounce back. The bulge usually on one side and my board will just stay tilted. Waiting on a new setup from teak right now. Couldn't beat the sale price. But I am super interested to see how the new bushings ,which are bubble work out. Very informative video.
been experimenting with bushings on my setups lately, so this video was well timed! I've been trying level-up betas on the bottom and a teak 0-ring up top
Love the video as always! IMO, bushings are one of the most important parents of a setup. If you are riding bushings that you don’t like, it can turn an awesome setup into trash. Everyone should experiment with different bushing shapes, types, material, and hardness to see what works best for them.
I have always used team bushing from flatface and stock from blackriver trucks but since I am getting back into fingerboarding after 5 some years I am interested to try teak or some other companies
I've been using mainly orings tbh, and most people who ride very loose trucks agree that the bubble bushings shape is terrible for riding loose. I think it's mainly becase of the height of the bushngs affecting how much you can screw them down, and often times locknuts will just pop off when ridding really loose with non-oring bushings. I've yet to try a bottom bushing with a top o ring though. So I'll have to see what thats like.
I made bushings from rubber bracelets. Some are different hardnesses too. I made a punch from a steel rod to get them round and a pin to make a hole, you can also use scissors to cut them out. The size of the bushings also affects the trucks.

Solar tuning is my current fav!!
Love teak tuning bubble bushings, but definitely want to try south soft. Also the best video about bushings that’s ever been made! X
Too kind Laura! Definitely give southsoft a try. They look squishy as hell haha
I make my own bushings out of bracelets, not the best but they do the job

I really like dynamic bushings because I like riding tight trucks and in my opinion they are pretty tight
You always have the best vids keep it up!
Teak my favorite rn!
Hay I’ve been watching you forever
I use bison bushings on v1 dynamics I only use one bottom bushing with a washer for the top. So it’s extra loose.
Thanks for the information! Subscribed… Blessings from Chicago
