@@allaboutautomobiles. Sir can you please make comparisons video between xpulse 230 and kawasaki klx(after launch) and which bike is good for beginners in offeroading As I ride gt650 so I have zero experience in offeroading
The fundamental issue with Xpulse is that it uses a Unicorn/Karizma road bike like diamond chassis, where the engine is a stressed member. This gives it great on road handling and stability, but at the same time makes it heavy by dualsport standards. Hero Impulse (Honda XR150), Kawa KLX230S, etc are true dualsport bikes which use lighter but far more rugged double cradle chassis. KLX230S weighs just 140 kgs, which is whopping 11 kgs less than Xpulse. In off road, the lighter the bike, the more fun it packs.
Indian customers will have 3 great dual sport options, klx 230, xpulse 210 liquid cooled engine and ktm 390 enduro with newer Lc4c engine. I own an interceptor, I need some hard-core trail riding in my life, so looking for a dual sport.
I am really hopeful the 650 scrambler by RE would have off road specific suspension. This would be a great upgrade for me, but for you, you will have to wait for the 400cc Xpulse to come, which will be pure off road, but with no compromise.
A great video mate !!! I enjoyed listening ! Well, I own a Impulse and I have been waiting for more than a decade now, for these Japanese Giants to launch a Dual Purpose motorcycle in our country ! Glad, kawasaki is doing it. I really Hope they price it well and dont compromise on the engine & suspension ! Waiting eagerly for the launch ! 😊
im from Nagaland i take this bike everywhere city/jungles what x pulse bike need is a track and a good tire to get the grip on and it'll take you everywhere, i with some of my friends we are doing that every weekends we dont do videos we just take our xpulse out to try it limits and believe me it goes everywhere, i believe x pulse is made for state like ours , corruption no good roads if you go off cities, waiting for bigger cc
To me it really depends what you want to do. Commute with some off-road or purely off-road. Meaning you will only take this bike to practice. Then the Impulse or the KLX have much more potential than the Xpulse but you have to steal the suspension from the xpulse pro. Xpulse is just not a true off-road is more of a adapted karizma for dual sport. Just look at the frame...
I still own the Impulse (have changed the rear suspension to the xpulse) and the Xpulse's rim sizes as well and the fuel injected Karizma engine with the Husqvarna exhaust etc... unfortunately the Impulse's design just cannot take the Xpulse's rally suspension, she becomes way too tall. But yes the Impulse has its own charm, and that's the reason l have not sold her.
I got a t stem modified and fitted the normal Xpulse forks, front rim, brake and rear shock on the Impulse. It is just right height. Karizma engine is on for next. I don't think any bike can beat that in the reasonable market of India right now.
Instead of a Karizma engine, try putting the block and head of the Xpulse pro in the stock Impulse engine, the Karizma engine puts a few additional kgs on the bike.
I guess its not made in India as of now ,it will be assembled in India as a CKD kit.If im not wrong and prices will be atleast not less than 3lacs ex showroom.
I wish theyd go for the klx 300 instead. But kawasaki has a habit of making older engines in india like the ninja 300. And also klx 300 is a simple single air cool and not like ninja. So kawasaki will make 3 engines in indian, 175, 230 and 300 liquid so not necessarily cutting-edge even for indian market, so they need to price really aggressively. I dont see kawasaki doing it.
Agree, Kawasaki still looks at India as a 3rd World developing economy, and not a economy that they can invest in manufacture their international bikes. Thats ok, we have our Bajaj and Hero that are continuously pushing the boundaries and helping us with better and better 'MADE IN INDA' bikes
I spend 30 plus years in dubai and had racing club in al aweer.... Xplus is no close to brands like honda.... Suzuki, kawasaki, ktm, gas gas.... Etc.... I say not even 30 % close.... These bykes are at different level than indian bykes.... Being an indian i m proud of our brands and choose over others but it will take few more years to cime close
IMO, Xpulse will not compete with Kawasaki KLX230 coz KLX will be way better. In my 1 year of Xpulse ownership, I concluded it's a really confused/bad engineered bike. Within 2 months I had a oil leakage from engine, misfiring/power loss in every gear, front fork oil seal leak. The engine is neither good in low end torque, neither top end. Plus it comes with heavy 21'-18' tyre setup. It feels like marketing team might have suggested Himalayan ka tyre daalo. Impulse was such a great motorcycle, Hero should have just swapped the engine and improved the chassis. Really disappointed with XPulse and now I'm afraid of buying these enduro style bikes, One thing I learned that, these are specifically made for one purpose i.e. Off-roading, everything else (commute, highway touring) is not cup of their tea.
Wow, sorry to hear your experience with your Xpulse. My xpulse has been running perfectly for the last 1 year. I hope the local service centre can resolve these issues soon.
This is supposed to be second motorcycle. And it will complement ppl who should own a hilux or dmax and this should be loaded in that truck and uloaded once you reach its mountains :)
If only in India we would have that much disposable income. Inida we have budget of one bike, that well as be able to do everything from taking youbto office as well as to the top of the mountains as well
Thanks bro very good and informative video ❤
Thankyou

Absolutely, weight is your best friend while off-road, but so is an attractive price tag let's hope the price is right.

Xpulse is made in India for India.

If it's priced below 2.4 lac. Then bye-bye Xpulse.
Highly doubtful they will launch at such an aggressive price
It's reported to be priced around 2 lakhs.
@@aryakumarshaw444 it will be coming via CKD route so expect price somewhere between 3- 4 lakh
@@zio195 double approx
Hey man! what you should be the right price? great vid btw!
It has to be not more than 40k at best over the price of the standard Xpulse, and thank you for appreciating the video

I think it isn't coming.
It is being tested for sure in India as of now.
It's coming because it has been testing with saree guard and front number plate holder and indicater and headlight to make it road legal
Xpluse need to change design and shok OBS also
Well for the price I think she is perfect, you can always customize her, just like I did.

Launching in India

We will get to know soon
What about Yamaha
Have no expectations from Yamaha, they are happy selling their 155cc vehicles here, or their over priced R3.
the serviceability is a deal breaker.
Yes, especially considering their cost

Yes it's confirmed to launch, kawasaki just cleared the homolocation documents with ARAI and RTO.......
